This hotel was gorgeous. the beds were very comfortable, the people that worked there were very friendly and accommodating. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. This is our second stay at Parco Paradiso and as with the first stay, we were not disappointed. Even though the location is not the greatest if you don't have a car, everything else in this hotel makes up for that. One exception, don't eat in their restaurants as they are extremely expensive. Once again, we stayed in one of their largest rooms overlooking the lake and with a great terrace to relax and enjoy a cappuccino, glass of wine, or hot chocolate. The room was very comfortable and large enough for the four of us as it included to pull down beds (hidden in the wall) where my daughters slept. "Eat Elsewhere"
The hotel was just ok, nothing special. we had to take a smaller room from what we reserved because there are only 2, that's correcy 2, rooms with A/C!!! it was a 100 degrees F while we were there and we were charged fifty extra per night to have comfort. I ain't mad at um,,, :) that really was worth it with the temps, well kinda, it wasn't worth the […] $ for the room, but whatever, the A/C was worth it. The real problem as you can see with the title was the restaurant. HORRIBLE and over priced. Go downtown, go anywhere, just don't eat there! The bkfst buffet was fine, not great, but adequate, however $200 for horrible, terrible, awful service and food in the evening was despicable. There were plenty of equal hotels downtown (less of a walk to the city) that I would choose should I return, which I won't. Really though all in all, being an American that lives in Europe this is just an average hotel, with adequate service, nothing special. I have lived here 7 years and been to any major city that you can name and I would visit this city, but I wouldn't return to the paradiso when i do, OBTW it is only a 4 hour drive (door to door), so yes I will go back to Lugano. "Schöne Aussicht, gratis PP"
Wir haben bei der Buchung ein Hotel mit Hallenbad gesucht. Leider war dieses aber die halbe Zeit geschlossen. Die Dame an der Reception sagte wegen Reinigung, was aber nicht stimmte. Da wurde ein Anlass durchgeführt.Die Reception sollte über Anlässe im Hause informiert sein. Unakzeptabel, dass das Bad in der Hochsaison einfach geschlossen wird! In Sauna […] und im Fitnessraum waren die Trinkwasserbehälter leer, eine Wanduhr stand still und die Saunatüre klemmpte so stark, dass man fast nicht mehr aus der Sauna kam. Das Hotel hat einen schönen Ausblick über Lugano und den See. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und spricht verschiedene Sprachen. Wir waren schon zum 2. mal da. Das Zimmer das wir dieses mal bekamen war viel besser als das erste. Es sind nicht alle Zimmer gleich gut ausgestattet. Einzig ein Kühlschrank fehlte mir. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr gute hoteleigene Restaurants (vor allem der japanische Grill ist sehr speziell und zu empfehlen!). Wunderbare Aussicht von der Terrasse. Bei unser Ankunft gab es zwar kurz Verwirrung mit unserer Reservation, weil offenbar fälschlicherweise 2 Zimmer reserviert wurden, hat sich aber schnell geklärt-haben sogar einen Zimmer-Upgrade […] gekriegt. Im Wellness-Bereich sollte vermerkt werden, dass Badetücher an der Reception geholt werden müssen. Für die Benutzung des DVD-Gerätes muss eine separate Fernbedienung bei der Reception geholt werden.
