"Disappointed"
I found the hotel was tired and in need of an upgrade. They have tried to make it look like a classy hotel but it needs some distance to go before that will be achieved. I was disappointed because this area does not have a great variety of really good hotels and I was looking forward to this being a place I could count on. "Room not as per reservation"
The service was unacceptable as the terms of the reservation were not respected. Although 2 non-smoking rooms were reserved, we were told that the hotel was full (wedding party) and only smoking rooms were available. Although ozone treatment had been used, it was a smoking floor and the hallway reeked..... surprisingly, the exercise room was on the […] same floor ! By the second night, the ozone had worn off. Although the wedding group had left and the hotel was now almost empty, we were still not offered a move to non-smoking rooms. The AC in one of the rooms was not working well and the temp. stayed higher in the room than outside. It was also noisy. A repair request resulted in elimination of the noise, but still no cooling. The hotel is also far from fresh - wear and tear on door edges, hall carpeting and trim, as well as dated decor. The TVs are at least 15 years old, with poor picture definition and colors so faded, I initially thought I was looking at B&W. The shower water pressure was way to high, to the point of being stingingly painful, with no flowrate or shower head adjustment possible. Great location, but we'll be reserving elsewhere next time. "Disappointed"
We booked via smartphone. Having two small kids, we chose this hotel for three main reasons: (1) two queen beds offered; (2) large swimming pool (first picture), and (3) breakfast included in price. We were disappointed because it turned out that they had no queen beeds but doubles, the pool had already closed when we arrived at 20.15 (due to rain, […] but there had been no rain up to this point -- they had also closed their fitness facility) --- my girls were really disappointed so I promised to return in the morning which was what we did -- only to find out that they would only open the pool at 13.00. And thirdly the promise was breakfast included but we only obtained breakfast for two -- however this did not show up on the reservaton. Overall -- avoid this place. When we asked for the additional breakfast vouchers promised online they refused and were not friendly. On the other hand, other staff was nice. "Hotel Gouverneur Trois-Rivières"
De passage pour une nuit nous avons trouvé que pour un hôtel de la chaine Gouverneur, quoique très propre, ce n'était pas à la hauteur en terme de l'entretien général de l'hôtel et des chambres. Dans notre chambre: peinture écaillé, tapis tachés, tapisserie décollée, moustiquaire percé. Le tapis du restaurant était horriblement sale et usé. Finalement […] en terme de service, la piscine à été fermé à 17h30 un vendredi soir alors que plusieurs personnes cherchaient à aller soit prendre un verre au bar de la piscine ou se baigner - un non sens.
