I was not pleased to know there was no elevator in the hotel. I had a lot of heavy things I needed to take out of the car, and had to do some lugging. The room was clean, but older. There was cracking around the tub and bathroom fixtures. We have stayed in Slave Lake a few times over the yrs (at other hotels) while working. Northwest Inn is the one that I will come back to. You get a full breakfast with your room. We were so glad to get a nice breakfast before we had to go to work for the day. It was a real treat. I will be back with my work crew. We all LOVED it. "Rooms have no AC!!!"
If you go to this hotel in the summer months you will die of heat! No air conditioner like they say, No climate control. Not all rooms have a fridge. The internet connection is very slow also. "A good to place to stay"
We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room which included a sofa bed, table, chairs, microwave and coffee pot. The service was excellent, even delivering our complimentary breakfast to our room. The carpet could have been cleaner but everything else was spotless. "Very good value."
While the rooms are fairly standard, the complimentary full breakfast made a huge difference. I'd use this hotel again any time. After all, I'm not staying in a hotel to live there, but just to have a bed in between my business needs. At first we're given a room with a broken AC so it was freaking hot and stinky (this is something you should check before unpacking all your stuffs...). Then we asked for a fan, they moved us to a new room with good AC running. Services was awesome, staffs are casual yet very friendly.
