"Not a great smell"
The employees were nice, and provided a fast response to my calls. But the first bathroom was dirty in the room we reserved, and management had to change rooms for us. "Average. Just what you'd expect"
You pay what you get. It not a newer hotel but not unclean. Front desk staff were nice. When wifi was in the rooms, but it did say just in the lobby. Parking lot darker then expected. "constant worrying."
To begin with, the hotel looks nothing like it does in the picture. The entrance signs and fountains are in shambles, the pillars in the front entrance are rotting. as I was parking a lot of "shady" characters were coming in and out of the hotel. The staff is very friendly but the condition of the hotel is outdated by at least 20 years. Ice machines […] not functioning, only one microwave on my floor. The carpets were damp and dirty. The odors was that of mildew and mold. Actually the a.c had some sort of mold growing from it. Ever since I slept there I've been having nasal problems. "Decent place if on a budget."

"Roma "Last" Resort"
I stayed here for a Dolphins game. You can tell it used to be a very nice place, likely in the 1960's. Its not anymore. Sad, because with a renovation it could be OK again, but I think the owners just don't care. Even for the price, which is low, I would expect significantly more. I regret to say that this was my 2nd visit to the Roma, as I forgot […] the name and I was fooled by the pictures online; which have to be ancient, because the place looks nothing like the photos once you are there. The carpets are badly soiled, especially in the hallways, the TV's are old and get no local stations (in case you want to watch the games). The furniture is beat up, the phones say the name of a different hotel and there is no direct phone number listed online for the Roma if you need directions. WiFi is available only in the lobby. The rooms smelled like chlorine, there were roaches dancing across the walls, no iron or blow dryer, cigarette ashes on the floor, and one microwave for the whole floor to share. The air conditioner was hanging off it's mounts, so they switched our room, but the second room had only one main light, which was malfunctioning and had only one large bath towel. The "breakfast" looked horrible so we didn't eat it, plus it's only available from 7-9am. It's on a very dark corner by the expressway, where even the gas stations on the corner are closed down. To top it off, we asked for the name of a local sports bar to grab food and watch the games because of the TV, and they sent us to a strip club. No joke. I will say that the rooms are of average size and they do at least seem to clean the sheets, the staff is nice enough, they have a bunch of new pop machines and the proximity to Sun Life Stadium is good. The maintenance guy came quickly to fix the lights and bring an extra towel. I don't think the neighborhood was as bad as some are saying, but it's clearly not in a prominent area. Our room was grimy, and I stood in the lobby for five minutes before I was even acknowledged, as the two receptionists talked to each other. The picture odf the hotel made me think I was getting a great value, but you really do get what you pay for at this place. People were polite, but just enough to get you off the house phone, or away from the desk feeling a false sense of security.
