"So So stay"
Nice new hotel, but front desk service didn't speak English well. We had a noisey pipe in our room that rattled all night. The "free" breakfast was disappointing. If you had any glouten issues, you were not eating. Location, while close to the Saddledome was noisey and had no parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel and room were fine, staff were friendly however the hot tub was down for the duration of our stay which is one of the must have amenities of the hotels we stay at. Stayed here because of the convenience of the hotel. Pool and free continental breakfast were a must have. The pool, unfortunately was unavailable for most of our trip, which was bad, considering it rained for most of our stay. They did refund a portion, but did not offer any apologizes. The staff were rude and unhelpful for the most part, except for […] the managers and housekeepers. The continental breakfast was good, and the staff very pleasent. The room was a little small, was under the impression it was queen beds, but found out it was only doubles. We were also told a cot would be available for nightly use, but then later told it was not. My son ended up staying on the floor the first night and then we went and bought an air mattress for the rest of our stay. Parking was also an issue, the hotel is attached to a bar and their patrons always got the convenient spots close to the door. There was alot of homeless people always around looking for money or food, which made my children feel a little uncomfortable at times. Not really in the best of neighbourhoods. The elevator needs to be put on a better timer....door always closed on you before you were halfway through. Also the internet(wireless) really only worked on the main floor, we were on the 3rd floor and rarely got access or a good signal. "Close to Big Shopping Centre"
The location of this hotel is not bad, maybe not good for a romantic trip, but very colse to Chinook Centre for shopping. Besides, the service of this hotel is good, so if you go for a family trip or short term stay in Calgary, you could consider about this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Disappointing Pool"
Although the hotel was clean and comfortable, my children were disappointed that the pool did not have a water slide. Also, our room was located over a bar which was not part of the hotel (a strange arrangement I thought) and we could hear music late into the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"convenience"
We chose this hotel because it is close enough to downtown Calgary, 3 casinos and the stampede park, which has a station for the rail transit. (10 min driving distance) Because it is on a main road, it is very easy to find and to get downtown Calgary. ( no turns, straight through) They do not have a restaurant in the hotel but they do have a breakfast […] and there is a sufficient variety of breakfast foods. There is also a nice little pub right around the corner, in the same building, with good food, a great atmosphere and reasonable prices There is also a Tim Hortons and a 24 hr Mc Donalds right next door if you want a late night snack. the staff was very friendly and polite.
