Cheers Restaurant - Located adjacent to the front lobby, this open restaurant features an à la carte menu, and breakfast and lunch buffet, and dinner. I did not like the Ramada at all. I arrived at about 10pm in the evening. My internet was slow, and then eventually stopped working all together, despite all of my efforts. It was around 11:30 at that point, so I gave up, since I needed sleep anyhow. The alarm clock was frustrating to use and didn't work properly. The pipes were clanging and I heard […] major water hammer for more than two hours straight coming from the heater, from 11:30 until almost 2am. I could barely sleep in that place. I was only staying for one night, so I didn't complain to the front desk until the morning, because fixing any issues or moving rooms would've taken longer to deal with than was worth my time. "Worst hotel experience"
Worst hotel I have stayed in. Hotel staff were walking in the hall and opening and slamming shut doors at 3 am... Complained to front desk and received a blank dead stare. Where do I begin. My husband and I booked this hotel for a weekend get away. We were very displeased with what we got for what we paid. To start, there was valet parking that I was unaware of and had to pay extra for. Then there was no hot water in the mornings. The price and proximity to where my main business priority was made the Ramada the first pick of several hotels in the downtown Calgary area. Check in was smooth however the staff were not all to forthcoming with details around the airport shutter (in particular the price). The gentleman failed to inform me the posted price was for a one-way fare. Luckily […] the shuttle the next morning never showed up so I ended up taking the taxi which I was informed by the morning staff would have been cheaper then the 3 of us taking the airport shuttle. The room we stayed in was spacious. Excellent water pressure. Unfortunately the beds were (lack of better word) crap. My mattress had a forever pitt in the middle so that everytime I tried to roll over I would simply fall back in. I raised this concern with the front desk and they said nothing could be done as they were fully booked. If it wasn't for the proximity to the place I needed to be I would have jumped ship.
