We came for a quick stop from Seattle on our way to Banff (approx. halfway point). We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room. Looks like a 60's motel from a distance, but they work hard to keep it very clean, in good condition (my husband was impressed with the solid construction) and comfortable. Gorgeous view from the room of Kamloops lake! Plus the continental breakfast wasn't just bagels and toast as it is lots of places. Hashbrowns, sausage, eggs, and of course bagels and toast. Great visit for only one night to this hotel. The room was perfectly clean, great service, nice to have a little pool for kids and fantastic location on the river. "Beatuiful view"
Enjoyed the two nights we spent, one going and one coming home. We enjoyed the view of the river, however were given a room on the second night that had a staircase in front of it when we asked for a room with a view of the river. When we arrived, the place looked like a cheap motel, but it turned out to be really nice. Rooms were clean. We had rooms on the "grass level" facing the river, so we could just walk out and relax in the chairs or at the picnic tables on the lawn and watch the river. It was conveniently located close to the highway. The front desk staff person (Austin) was very helpful and made excellent recommendations about Kamloops. "Quick stop in Kamloops"
We took the train from Edmonton to Kamloops and arrived at 11.30pm. This motel is the closest to the station (about a 15 min drive), which is why we chose it. We also stayed there on the return journey. The rooms are very clean and the view is pretty if you have a room overlooking the river. The continental breakfast is served in a pleasant room off […] the reception area and has a river view. The breakfast is pretty basic but good enough considering most accommodation doesn't include breakfast. There is a pool and a patio for enjoying the sun. It is about a 30 min walk to downtown along a busy road which might be too much for some people. We didn't pick up our rental car till the following day so weren't as mobile. The staff are great and very helpful and directed us to a restaurant right next door called Storm. The food is excellent.
