Quaaout Lodge and Spa, Talking Rock Golf has a golf course, an indoor pool, and a sauna. Complimentary wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is available in public areas and an Internet point is located on site. This 3.5-star resort features business amenities including a 24-hour business center and audiovisual equipment. This golf resort offers a restaurant and a bar/lounge. The staff can provide wedding services, event catering, and business services. Additional amenities include spa services, a fitness facility, and gift shops/newsstands. For a surcharge, guests receive transportation including a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request), an area shuttle, and a casino shuttle. Complimentary self parking is available onsite for guests. This is a smoke-free property.

Rooms open to patios. The 70 air-conditioned guestrooms at Quaaout Lodge and Spa, Talking Rock Golf include iPod docking stations and complimentary newspapers. Rooms are equipped with flat-panel televisions with DVD players. Bathrooms offer bathtubs, bathrobes, and hair dryers. All units feature refrigerators and coffee/tea makers. Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in May 2010.

Response by Quaaout Lodge and Spa, Talking Rock Golf We apologize if our facilities did not meet your expectations. We welcome many guests who love our lakeside location and enjoy our sandy beach. We do offer a dock for swimming, sunbathing, or for boaters to tie-up. Midsummer 2012 we also added canoes available for our hotel guests to enjoy. In reference to not receiving a statement upon check-out, this is highly unusual. We did have one morning this summer where due to a regional power failure and subsequent computer troubles we were unable to issue statements for several hours. Once services were restored later that day, we did print statements and mail them to guests for whom we had complete and contact information. We apologize if there was an oversight resulting in your not receiving your statement, and as always if something is not as you would expect, please contact us directly to allow us to make things right. We appreciate all feedback from our guests, and do take not of constructive suggestions for improvement and considerations for future developments.

With regards to the incident with your RV, I must apologize for the oversight resulting in the notice being placed on your vehicle after you had previously registered it with the front desk when you checked-in. We do welcome guests who choose to stay in our hotel as part of a larger RV trip. We do not however permit RV Camping on our property, although for visitors who are part of a larger group staying at the hotel, we are pleased to recommend several nearby RV campgrounds. In your review, you expressed the opinion that our rooms are overpriced. We take great care in setting our rates to be comparable with similar facilities within our marketplace, and adjust according to season. We have many guests who find great value in our rates. It is unfortunate that you did not feel similarly, however perhaps this might be attributable to the unfortunate incident regarding your vehicle.

It was just okay, nothing about this hotel screams resort besides the golf course being attached to it. Lets go over a list of some of the Pro and Cons. Pros: On the lake, Golf course, interesting wood work, fairly modern rooms, sandy beach, Clean rooms, far enough from the highway that is quite in the room, friendly staff. Cons: Restaurant served […] reheated food that was still cold, work out room is less than adequate, food prices were expensive and not at all worth the price, water stains on the ceiling showed signs of poor maintenance, besides golf things to do are minimal, no easy access to water sporting rentals, no real hiking or outdoor activities to speak of in the surrounding area at least that the staff know of. We are located on a sandy beachfront property with a dock, and within a 5 to 25 minute drive of many other recreational opportunities including hiking, boating, fishing, zip-line, wine tasting, and more. Recently we have added canoes for our guests to use during the warmer months. The term “resort” may hold different meanings for different people, and while we welcome many satisfied guests we apologize if our facilities did not meet with your personal expectations. Regarding your unfortunate dining experience, being served a hot entree that was cold is unacceptable, and I hope that you gave us the opportunity to correct this. We take great care in setting our menu options and prices to offer the best possible value to our guests, and a survey of comparable restaurants in the region will show that our prices are well within the average. Your review mentions water stains on the ceiling. I hope that you pointed these out to us, as our maintenance team works hard to ensure areas of our property requiring repair get the attention required. Sometimes as with any property including one’s own home the odd issue may arise such as a water leak, which I can assure you that our maintenance staff would respond to quickly.
