"Convenient to shopping but not luxurious"
This hotel is dated. My main complaint was when I arrived, the room was sweltering hot. Turning down the heat and turning on the window unit air conditioner did not help much. The onsite service man did not think the heat was still on, though the baseboard heater was hot tothe touch. After more complaining on my part, they moved me to a different floor […] and room, which was satisfactory. There was no safe in the room as advertised and the safe in the first room did not work. The stay was alright. Our T.V didn't work when we first got there, someone had to come fix it. Our phone never worked at all in our room. Our room was not cleaned once while we were there for 2 nights. A light in our room randomly flickered all night. There is no hot tub and the pool was pretty small and packed with kids the hole time we were there. "Sorta close to West Edmonton Mall - if you drive"
The room was great as was the restaurant food. However, the location of the hotel and some of the guests were questionable. The hotel management did nothing about families that allowed their children to use the hallways as early morning playgrounds. This meant early mornings on what should have been a relaxing stay. As well, management did not clear […] or use ice melt on their parking lot, making it very treacherous to get to and from your vehicle. The hotel shop was not stocked, which meant we had to make a drive to the SuperStore which was close at least. The restaurant was not properly staffed the first morning, which meant one person was serving all the tables, seating guests and taking payment. Only stay at this hotel if you are okay driving to all your destinations, as nothing is within walking distance, especially West Edmonton Mall which they do sell discounted passes for the parks at the mall. "Good overall!"
Overall, the stay was great. The room was comfortable, although the door was a bit beat up and hard to open/close, but for the price of the room I couldn't complain. The bed was big and comfortable, and the bathtub was a jet tub which my husband liked. The room had a fridge, which is always a plus in my opinion. My only complaint of the room was the […] water pressure in the shower, but the hotel allowed us to switch rooms because of it so it wasn't an issue. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and weren't huge fans, but didn't try lunch or supper. I didn't like the fact that the hotel didn't have a hot tub, and the pool (which we were told was room temperature) wasn't working at the time, so that was unfortunate. "Aircon not functioning"

"Needs to be updated"
I liked the people who worked there. Most of them were very friendly. The hotel is pretty old looking and need to be updated. The room was fairly clean but there was room for improvement. Also on a side note and totally not the fault of the hotel, but because it is in the industrial area of the city there was a terrible smell outside for several days […] of our stay. "Not what I thought"
We booked this hotel because it was close to the west Ed and that was the only thing good about the hotel. It was so hot the AC barley worked. Our bath tub was a 1980's Jacuzzi tube (for one)that looked like it had never been cleaned and the floor in the tub was cracked. The pool was tiny,freezing and there was no hot tub. "Never again"
First of all, check in time isn't until 4pm, we got there right at 4 but we were made to wait because 'there was a full house the night before and rooms weren't ready yet' Second, they failed to mention that a high school band was staying at the hotel the WHOLE time we were, they stuck us on the same floor as them AND placed us right at the staircase...so […] every time they left (6am) and came back (10pm) they were like a heard of elephants. Third, they offer park passes for the attractions at West Ed Mall for 25$ each, but failed to tell us that if you purchase a family pass at the attraction, it is cheaper by 15$ for 4 people!! "Good Hotel for a quick stay"
The room was nice. While were there the fitness room only had one peice of equipment working. The pool was a decent size but located right at the main entrance and had a powerful amount of chlorine. Our shower head was plugged and didnt flow very well. The TV was older and a tad blurry espcially watchng from the bed.
