"Very nice older hotel"

"Decent considering the other options"
Stayed at the Fredericton Inn (formerly Fredericton Motor Inn) recently while on a business trip. The service was good and the room was nicely laid out, including all of the amenities you might want (except a refrigerator, if I recall correctly). The location was convenient for driving (right off of the main road), but not for seeing the town or taking […] advantage of the downtown (about 3 miles away, down a big hill). The biggest negative was that the room was quite outdated, especially the carpet. Considering the location and what I paid (think Hilton in a major US city) for an 'executive suite' (as that is all that was available), I expected a much nicer room and better linens and towels. "I have stayed in few bad hotels, this was one of them."
1-Their internet connection was not functioning at all. Upon my inquiry, I was told that too many guests are using it. So it was an repaired failure. 2- The window installed cooler was too noisy. We had to turn it off and open the window. Then we were constantly disturbed by the noise. 3-Cars leaving early morning woke us since cars parked only one […] foot from the window of our room. They did not have wireless in my room and the internet was so slow it timed out my sessions over and over as I was trying to book flights. Would not stay here again just for that reason. Was overall satisfied with my stay. The hotel is a little dated but was clean. The walls are very thin and you can hear noise from the other rooms but earplugs solve this problem. This is basically a glorified motel, situated beside Hwy 2 and a large mall on the outskirts of the city. It was quite satisfactory, but much further from downtown Fredericton than I'd anticipated. Also the entrance is not easily accessible by car.Genuine Expedia guest review
