Ramada Fredericton

We were impressed with the staff and quality of service at the hotel. Overall, the facility was showing its age, even a little run-down. Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke, but we were quickly moved and it was handled very well. We stayed only one night while passing through. The front-desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful while both checking in and out as well as providing me with all of the must-see sights while in Fredericton. In terms of the room, the walls are very thin, you can hear almost everything going on in the room next door which is less than ideal. Cleaning starts pretty early on the weekend so hopefully […] you're up well before 10 a.m.! The pool and hot tub, while over chlorinated were lovely and the entertainment area was fantastic! With regards to the restaurant in the hotel, there was one particular staff member Joy, who was not very joyful at all. Once she brought me my order, she did not acknowledge me, talk to me or anything and I was not asked if I wanted another water etc. Overall this hotel was good. Often hotels can be noisy, especially if there is an indoor pool and bar. In this hotel, the security was excellent at enforcing quiet hours after 11 pm. It would have been nice if the pool was open before 9 am as we like morning swims.

Location is good. Hotel shows its age, inside and out. Although there are no smoking rooms the smokers seem to gather at and block the hotel entrances. Hotel staff does not seem to want to clear the entrances.

Thank you. My husband and myself had a great night sleep, which is what we wanted first after a long day of travelling. Next time we will take advantage of the golf course.The only dissapointment was the meal at the restaurant. My husband ham was tasty but the carrots were overcooked

We have stayed here several times, and have always had a good experience. However, this time there was a baseball team (teenage) who seemed to have no Code of Behaviour as most travelling teams do, no curfew, and whose chaperones seemed to have zero ability to control, or even attention to try to do so. My kids were awake into the wee hours due to slamming […] of the heavy room doors, yelling in the halls and in the rooms, and general noise level. In addition, we had a room overlooking the pool and courtyard, and a mother took her screaming baby in there to calm it down. Try the cool night air, Mom!!! Talk about echo... The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, the restaurant had great staff and great food, but the overall quality of the hotel wasn't up to Ramada quality standards. The building was built in the 70's and it shows. It was OK for one night, but when we figured out what we were in for, we cancelled our second night and booked elsewhere.

The hotel had a beautiful courtyard inside with a nice size pool (needs painting/updating)hot tub ,and fountain but we felt like we had been tucked away in a back forgotten room. We stayed one night on our way to the east coast. We booked ahead of time and really didn't know what was around the area. We figured Ramada was a trustworthy name and the pictures looked ok...so we went with it. This hotel was probably pretty nice when it was first built. The rooms are built around an inner courtyard where you'll find a pool, hot tub, […] pool tables, a bar and an eating area. Time has been the enemy though, and it's now an older property in need of a facelift and some updating. It's just got this dingy, tired look and feel to it. For example...at first look the pool water looked grey, but it was just the colour of the old ceramic tile. The pool tables were "worn" and one I noticed had rips the felt. It looked like some updating had been started...there was some updating that was done in our bathroom, in terms of the counter etc., but the furniture in the room was older. Folks were polite and helpful though and our overnight stay was fine and we were on our way.... The truth is, it was fine for our evening stop. The food at the restaurant was good, and the kids had some fun in the pool, but someone who is the least bit picky about where they stay would most likely be disappointed. It wouldn't bother me to stay here again for an overnighter if I had to... but given the choice...I'd probably try something else first. Read more

Don't expect too much in terms of luxury or ammenities out of your stay. Nice enough place to rest and sleep. Using it as a break between PEI and Montreal. Hotel personnels are pleasant and the restaurant within is surprisingly good. WiFi was not working though the 2 nights we were there.

We only stayed 1 night and stopped in at the restaruant on site, the hotel wasn't overly full, but the service in the restaruart was very slow (there was a late season snow storm this day so the restaruant may have been short staffed). There was a crowd of kids in the hotel who were constantly running up and down the halls (I found out later they were […] playing hide and seek). The parents "supervising" them did not seem to care, nor did the hotel staff seem to be concerned. The people at the front desk were very friendly, however they did not seem to be worried about concerns brought to their attnetion (see above about the kids running through the hallways). The bathrooms are very small. I always thought Ramada was a higher quality hotel chain, but it felt more like Motel 6. Read more

Hotels mit überdachten Innenhöfen, in denen Bar & Pool untergebracht sind, scheinen sich überlebt zu haben. Die zum Innenhof gewandten Zimmer sind nämlich reichlich dunkel und laut, wenn abends an der Bar noch lauthals gefeiert wird. Dieses Manko scheint auch Ramada erkannt zu haben und lässt das Hotel deshalb wohl eher "abwohnen" als es laufend in […] Schuss zu halten. So war z.B. das Telefon im Zimmer defekt und man fragte sich, ob die Bettlaken überhaupt gewechselt waren. Bei entsprechend günstigen Angeboten ist das Hotel so gerade noch empfehlenswert. Zwei Sterne in der Hotelbewertung wären allerdings eher angemessen als drei. Read more

Ne répond plus au goût du jour. Les fleurs en plastique entre autres. Devrait inclure le petit déjeuner car payer très cher pour un petit déjeuner plus qu'ordinaire c'à n'est plus dans les normes des établissements de cete catégorie.
