The Ibis Hotel in Singapore is a no frills hotel located near Bugis. The rooms are very small. There is no place to store your luggage except for under the bed or against the wall. The refridgerator is a joke. There is room for 3 canned drinks or 2 small water bottles. If you want to place a soda bottle you have to place it in diagonally. "Convenient but resting on its laurels"
I love the Bencoolen area - it's close to transport and not far from anything. Everytime I come to Singapore, I stay in this area. With the new building works at the top of the street, many hotels are not being occupied and the IBIS is the best option - but I think they know this. Breakfast (if you want to pay $18-$22) has poor offerings and morning […] staff were grumpy. Rooms are clean etc, but I think the price is too much for what it is offering. Hotelli oli juuri sellainen kuin minkä kuvan siitä sai etukäteen. Kävelymatkan päässä kaikista tarpeellisista kohteista. Palvelu aulassa ja baarissa oli erittäin hyvää, selkeää ja avuliasta. Huone oli viihtyisä, ilmastointi pelasi ja suihku oli ratkaistu hyvin siten, ettei kastele koko vessaa käydessään. Erityiset plussat usb-latauspaikasta ja wifistä! Huoneet […] siivottiin pääasiassa hyvin ja sopivaan aikaan, mutta jokaisena päivänä jotain onnistuttiin munimaan. Ensimmäisenä iltana oli jäänyt petaaminen puolitiehen siten, että tyynyt olivat vielä viereisellä tuolilla, eikä oltu muistettu pistää roskapussia paikoilleen. Toisena iltana iltana joku työntekijä peläytti oikein kunnolla, kun avasi huoneemme oven avaimellaan, kun ei kuultu koputuksia - luuli että meiltä oli tilattu lisää suihkugeeliä? Paikalliseen tapaan tätä seurasi liuta erilaisia anteeksipyyntöjä. Kolmantena päivänä oli siivoojalta jäänyt avainkortti meidän huoneeseen, en sitten tiedä oliko "yleisavain" vai ei, ei kiinnostanut kokeilla. En myöskään ole valittajasorttia, joten en jaksanut kenellekkään näistä vauhkota, ja koska lomalla.
