The 37-story Mandarin Orchard Singapore is comprised of two high-rise towers. Overall comfortable, unfortunately unhappy went checkout, we checkout at appro. 9.10 am and call for potter to deliver our laggages to level 1 our vehicle which our fright is at 12.00 noon. Many years ago I looked at the Mandarin Orchard and hoped to be able to stay there one day. From airport pick up to check out, my experience was terrific. "Mandarin Orchard in Singapore - The 2nd Stay"
This is our second time to stay at the hotel. I can tell you we're very very happy with the hotel. Great Quality - we requested to stay at the Main Tower ( the older section of the hotel ) because the room was bigger in size (the lady at the check-in counter told us this). Great Location - Orchard road is just a step from the hotel's lift. MRT is just a block away. Tourist Bus Stops are just across the street. Surrounded by shopping malls, finding good value food is not an issue at all. Great Service - we were late for our flight home. when we were about to check-out, there's a line for the check-out (only 1 person doing check-out). spoke to one of the lady on the concierge desk and we were only asked if we took anything from the mini bar. because we took none, we could be on our way straight away. Great VALUE - We compared the price we paid with other QUALITY, MODERN hotels in the ORCHARD area and ours was still the cheapest. "Great location but horrible service"
The hotel was very central but it probably has one of the worst housekeeping services ever. I had to call five times to request for an extra blanket and it took them 30 minutes to finally deliver it to me. Plus they did not bother apologising. On Day 2 I requested for a second item which was an electrical extension cord. A similar delay occurred and […] they delivered me one that was not working at all. The interior of the hotel was fairly silly too - the hotel does not have wifi in the rooms so I had to use the internet cable. However, it was a short cable by the study table and there was no electrical plugpoint near the study table. Hence, if you intend to use the internet on your laptop, you can only use it for as long as your gadget's battery would last. For the hotel does not have an electrical extension cord that will work. 今までのホテルで最悪でした。２時に行ってもチェックイン出来ずに４時まで待たされました。お部屋に入ったら同じ階が工事しているらしく、物凄い音で休めませんでした。こんなひどい音の工事は初めてでした。おまけに次の日は土、日で工事は休みという事だったのに、朝からまたしても物凄い音でガッカリです。お部屋を変えて貰いましたが、その部屋も夕方の５時近くまで待たされました。対応の仕方も酷かったです。満室でタイミングが悪かったのかも知れませんが、折角の楽しい休暇が台無しで、悲しくなりました。Genuine Hotels.com guest review
