For the price, this is a great hotel. The building is a little old but the service is good, the rooms are clean (albeit a little old), and everything works fine. The location of the hotel is ideal for me too. Walking distance to Novena and United Square as well as Newton circus hawker food court. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that takes […] you to Orchard road shopping area. And you can catch the MRT from Novena. THere are lots of food courts with great food at Novena and United Square. Since it is on a major road, it is very easy to catch a taxi as well. If you want to stay in a great residential neighborhood in Singapore this is a good bet. There are two malls right down the street with 40 50 places to eat. The train station is right below the Velocity mall.

the Hotel is bit aged and could use touch up, new carpet. Choice of Resturants in the facility is limited but there are good ones in a nearby shopping mall. It is a quite distance from the bustling ..Quiet and suitable for families.

I stayed a night with my family (wife and 3 young kids). The hotel is conveniently located close to the city and shopping belt. Although a little old, the facilities are well maintained and generally clean. Everything in the room worked, I like that the room was brightly lit and the water pressure good enough to give a nice warm shower. The staff at […] the reception were courteous, welcoming and helpful. There is but one issue though and that is that the parking ticket machine does not read the autopass card that foreign registered cars are given at the causeway. I was denied entry as a result, but fortunately one of the staff took the trouble to explain that the hotel has yet to upgrade the parking ticket machine to read the autopass which was new and without a chip that comes with older versions. I was then given an old version passcard to use which solved the problem. A couple of weeks before this, I faced the same problem while staying at a more expensive 5-star resort hotel but none of the staff there had a clue of what was wrong with the parking machine! I'd say the staff at Hotel Royal easily deserve a minimum 5-star status for being smarter and helpful. Read more

It isnt near the main shopping areas - you need to get a taxi. It is on a main road so walking around isnt that easy. However, there is a nice outdoor eating area in a park (Newton Square) where you can get a fresh and good quality meal in pleasant surroundings - but beware of the prices - we got ripped off as they have small, medium and large dishes, […] and we were charged for large on each despite not asking for large. We requested a family room with 4 beds and had it confirmed but there were only 3 beds in ouro hotel. We had to haggle to get another bed without cost. The best way to get to this hotel is by taxi as MRT stations aren't close it costs about AU$20-25. The motel understood family of 4 and we had connecting rooms. Restaurants OK but like everywhere in Asia wine ridiculously expensive.

WE HAD CREATED A RESERVATION FOR A FAMILY ROOM FOR 2ADULTS + 2 CHILDREN AGED 11 YEARS EACH. WHEN WE TURNED UP AT THE HOTEL THEY ONLY PROVIDED US WITH 1 FAMILY ROOM WITH 1 QUEEN BED AND 1 SINGLE BED. WE REQUESTED THEM TO PROVIDE ANOTHER SINGLE BED AS OUR KIDS ARE TALL. THEY REFUSED AS THEY STATED THAT AS PER THEIR POLICY THE ROOM WAS PROVIDED ONLY WITH […] THE BEDDING MENTIONED ABOVE AND IF WE WISHED TO AVAIL AN EXTRA SINGLE BED CHARGES WOULD BE LEVIED! WE CREATED THE RESERVATION THROUGH EXPEDIA WHICH ACCEPTED THE RESERVATION ON THE BASIS OF OUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION.THE VERY FIRST NIGHT OUR AIR CONDITIONING FAILED AT ABOUT 2AM. WE WERE TOO SLEEPY TO BOTHER THEM AT THAT HOUR AS IT WOULD ENTAIL DISTURBING MY FAMILY. LOCATION OF THE HOTEL IS NOT SO GOOD AS THERE ARE NO COMMERCIAL SHOPS NEARBY TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS BASICS. I can't expect more from this hotel as the rate is also good for me. Location is good, quite near to everywhere. It is near to the station and bus stop. All I can say I got what I paid for. Will stay here again in my next trip.

I was allocated to a floor that are currently with renovation work in progress. When I step out of the lift in the middle of night after check-in, I saw materials laying on the floor. I was start and thought I went to the wrong floor. There was no sign to lead to my room and I took a while to find out my room was just next to a pile of construction […] materials. There was no warning from the staff during my registration. Renovation work started early in the morning before 9 and was too noisy for me to stay in the room. Lisävuoteen peittona vain ohut huopa. Huoneessa ei myöskään extravuoteen asukkaalle pyyhettä eikä teekuppia. TV ei toiminut. Kuitenkin respan väki oli ystävällistä ja muutaman soiton jälkeen asiat ssaatiin korjattua :)

ロケーションは便利だったけど、ビジネスセンターのインターネットは2ドルで15分と高い。 また最初に色々なプロファイルの入力が必要で時間がかかって2ドルでは何も出来ない。さらにPCは遅くって使い物にならなかったので返却をフロントで求めたが、ビジネスセンターは他の業者に貸しているので、ホテルは関知しないとの回答だった。 部屋やビジネスセンターでも無線LANが使えるようだが高かったので使わなかった。 ファミリールームを予約したがベットは２つ（１つはダブル）で少し狭かった。コップや部屋履きも2セットしか無かった。

家族4名で、11月11日から2泊。電話番号が違っているところから始まり、 ファミリータイプのはずの部屋が意外と狭い。アメニティからタオル、ティーカップまで3名分しかなく、持ってきてくれるまで15分・・・ シャワーが固定式なのは知っていたけど、位置が高い。隣室、廊下の音がかなり漏れる。 歩いて5分程でユニオンスクエア、10分程でMRTの駅、モールと便利。 初めてのシンガポールだったので、とにかく4名で宿泊出来るところで検索。細かいところを気にしなければ、便利なホテル。
