The 72-story Swissotel The Stamford is attached to the Raffles City shopping and convention centers. This Singapore hotel is also less than 1 km (.5 mi) from Saint Andrew's Cathedral, the Esplanade Theatres, and the Singapore National Museum, and less than 2 km (1 mi) from Thian Hock Keng Temple. "Convenient and Comfortable"
I stayed for one week. The lady who dealt with my booking was very friendly and helpful, I wish I could remember her name. She provided an extra bed for no extra cost. Very thankful for that. The hotel is engulfed with endless shopping complexes and restaurants. I had the Marina Bay view and my 2-year toddler enjoyed watching the boats. She also […] loved the children swimming pool which was shallow enough for her. The two pools at this hotel are humongous! This is the number 1 reason was I chose this place. My only negative comment is that the cleaners came at an inconvenient time for us, around 2pm, as this was the time when my daughter took her nap. They came and rang the bell which woke her up and disturbed her sleep. At times, I just had to decline them, so we ended with a room which was not made. "Great hotel and excellent service"
I stayed at this hotel for a week for a family vacation. From start to finish, we received excellent service from all the hotel staff. The room was clean and well maintained and the hotel provided an extra bed to accommodate the whole family in one room. The location of the hotel was great with transport and major attractions close by. Many of the […] regular buses to the zoo, Sentosa and night safari picked up passengers from this hotel so it made it easy for us to travel with our small children. Hotel was very helpful in advising us on which tours to take and the most cost-efficient way to take them. There was also a good food court below the hotel (L3) as well as a more upmarket set of cafe's and shops underground (B1). Breaksfast wasn't included in our package but we had no problem with food with such variety available. The hotel was perfect - the room size was fine for our little family of three, and the hotel was clean and modern. What really stands out about this hotel, however, is the incredible service. They helped us in every way we needed help around the clock. The brought plug adapters to our room, gave us excellent advice for where to go to dinner and shopping, […] a bellhop even ran across the street to take my drink cup when boarding a tour bus that wouldn't allow food and drinks. They accommodated us in every way, big and small. Also, the location was perfect. There are dozens of excellent restaurants in the mall attached, and the MRT is just a 5 minute walk, too. A fantastic hotel with a major shopping centre next to it and just accross the road from Raffles and a stop for the hop on hop off bus. Service was amazing. Our taxi was met by staff who took our luggage and had it sent to our room. Check in and out was very smooth and all our queries were dealt with immediately and very professionally. Had a good viewing room and there for New Years Eve, and special birthday celebration, so with the fireworks over the Marina Bay area it was a great place to stay and you must ask when booking for Marina Bay view. The Stamford was a great place to stay. The location was perfect and facilities great. The only small issue was that the sheets weren't changed for the 6 nights we stayed. They did leave a card on the bed thanking us for conserving water and making the decision to not change the sheets. If they misunderstood us we could contact them and have them changed. "Swissotel The Stamford - Great Hotel & Location"
We traveled as a family with two teenage kids and stayed here for 3 nights. The Hotel provided us with two rooms side by side which was just perfect. Another positive; since we arrived very early in Singapore from Europe we received complimentary early check-in (from 7:30am) as well as a 2pm late check-out on the last day. This was excellent as we where […] all very tired after the long flight. The hotel has all the necessary amenities one needs for a few days stay. Rooms where clean, quiet, room service speedy and the beds very comfy. The only downside was that we had to pay for internet access which, I presume is common here in Singapore. The location is fantastic, just above Raffles shopping plaza and MRT station. There is also a Mac Donald's, a Starbucks and a food court around the corner which was convenient. Lots of other shops and the restaurants along Singapore river are within walking distance. All in all a fantastic stay and I would recommend it to anyone holidaying there. "Executive club service"
We were advised on check in to upgrade as this would give us free wifi in our room and breakfast in the executive lounge (which we were informed was better than the standard breakfast buffet). Unfortunately, the wifi signal in our room was non existent so we had to be moved which was an inconvenience. Our new room, on the 60th floor, had wifi signal […] but only a limited connectivity. Our first two mornings we went to the executive club for breakfast and although it was decent enough, my husband had to wait half an hour for his eggs, a while for yoghurt and in the end we gave up asking for the food we wanted because it seemed too much hassle. On our last evening we were finally informed that we could use the standard buffet if we preferred, which was much better and far more enjoyable. Especially because we had young children and we had felt uncomfortable in the executive club with them because it was so small and we felt we had to keep them quiet. In general, we had a nice time but felt misinformed regarding the executive club service. We were also disappointed because our kids tend to eat between 5-6pm because they are in bed by 7pm but there was no restaurants open to serve them a proper dinner. So we had to stay in the room and order room service. "Swissotel Stamford- convenient and comfortable"
My husband and I been staying at this hotel for the last 10 years every year at least once or twice per annum for about 2 weeks stay on average. It is convenenient with shops, restaurants, and the transit MTR system right under our nose. We found the rooms have improved and the house keeping have improved. There was a follow up after we checked in. In […] the 2nd period when we returned from a trip from Malaysia back to Swissotel Stamford, we were told our room was not ready until 2pm and were offered a double bed instead until we insisted that we have requested for harbour view with a king size bed. This despite a special request in the booking. It seems that loyalty with the hotel counts for no favours when it comes to " trivial" requests. We also found that the rooms are not consistent. We had two periods of stay this time. The first period was on the 20th floor and the room was smaller and less fringes such as the nail buff, bath salts or hair dryer on the wall. Also we noticed we didn't get any newspapers while our neighboring rooms seem to have them. Our 2nd period of stay was on the 36th floor. The room was bigger and newer and we have more toiletries. We traveled with two young kids. Apart from the small pool, there is not much facilities for them. Excellent location, but after that, this hotel is just like any other 'business hotel'. No character, so-so-just-like-normal customer service, we don't feel like going on holiday.
