You definitely pay for the convenience of being right at the airport where you can walk into the terminal from the hotel. Hotel is a typical business class affair with plush and expensive amenities. Clean, safe, convenient and they get away with charging a bundle because they are the only option for on airport accommodation.

Only stay here if you absolutely need to quick access to the airport. The staff is not friendly both at the check out and the restaurants. Rooms are unattractive. TV is old fashion. Restaurant food came slow. My wife was finished with her dinner before mine came. Then the restaurant put a charge on my bill that I did not make. The hotel as an any 24 hours poliacy. There is no fixed checkout or Checkin. You just havet to checkout within 24 hours of checkin if you are staying one night. Staff is nice. After reading many good reviews on several sites about the Executive Premiere Floor benefits, I booked stays for Nov. 1-3 and Nov. 8-10 - 2011 flight layovers in Bangkok. After 21 hrs. of flight time, I arrived, went to the front desk, and asked about EP floor check-in. The front desk staff did not know what the EP floor was or where the EP express […] check-in location was (Business Center). I was told to go to the end of the line at the front desk behind a large tour group for check-in. I received no information about the EP floor perks and, therefore, was not able to access them for my stay. For my first visit, staying on the EP 5th floor was no different than staying on any of the other floors which have cheaper rates. The front desk staff may have been all new hires due to the problems regarding the record-breaking flooding around Bangkok. For my second stay, I had learned about the EP floor check-in location at the Business Center from a fellow traveler, and enjoyed my stay and the EP floor benefits. I definitely recommend booking the EP floor for a layover or short stay, but you must ignore the uninformed and poorly trained front desk staff and go directly to the Business Center, with its very friendly and competent staff, for check-in. This hotel is good if you need somewhere to sleep between flight connections. It's supposed to have tunnel access direct from the terminal but that was not evident on my visit and involved a 5 minute shuttle bus ride instead.. This hotel is convenient for the Bangkok airport being literally five minutes away by their shuttle bus. It is a huge hotel with all the amenities but cold and uninviting when you arrive at reception through a large open atrium which has a coffee shop in the middle of it. Check in was not fast. Security was good but the place seemed a little worn in […] places. The room was standard but a hole in the sheet made me think not enough attention to details there. We had enough room for our overnight stay and plenty of complimentary water, tea, coffee, etc. Room service was available. Everything was clean and neat. If you want early morning call you set your own alarm. We made the mistake of asking for a call and it didn't come and then we saw a note telling us to use their clock alarm. Restaurants in the hotel were imposing and not welcoming. Shuttle to airport was excellent and when we wanted it. There is an excellent swimming pool there which we have used. Being close to the airport means there isn't much else around it of any interest. I do believe that a hotel with the quality of the Novotel should provide complimentary wireless and not charge more for it. I would rather be charged more and have it included than have to make a special trip to the Business Center and sign up for wireless and get a password. It "cheapens" the experience of staying a a good hotel.

Great hotel. I stay on every visit to Thailand on the first and last evening as it is so convenient to the airport. Also, great late evening dining as I arrive after mid night and exceptional spa for a massage to take care of any air travel stress. Last of all the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I will stay at this hotel on every visit.

Hotel is delightful and in walking distance from airport- especially convenient with the new underground walkway from the airport directly to hotel. We stayed here because it was close to the airport and I must say for a hotel at the airport it is great. The pool was beautiful and it was great to have a swim before taking off for an early flight. A bit pricey though and not much to do in the area around it. Hotel restaurant was tasty as well.

Convenient for the airport - and with a good shuttle service thrown in for free. Modern design, but like many hotels, not good for providing a night light for accessing bathroom in the night so as not to disturb a sleeping partner. Air conditioning noisier than we had experienced at other modern Thai hotels. OK for one night.
