The county’s most rugged scenery and best beaches - Porthtowan, St Agnes, Perranporth, Polzeath, Newquay - are to be found here along with world-class surfing at Newquay. A really lovely hotel which could be even better with a little more attention in certain areas. For example the leisure club had some maintenance and cleanliness issues, eg sauna and steam room doors broken, changing area far too small and floor very wet, dirty towels thrown on floor. Could do with a general overhaul. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, lots […] of people waiting for tables and service and food was not up to scratch, portions rather small. Perhaps a buffet style breakfast might go down better? The room I couldn't fault, although I had asked for a higher level room to make the most of the view, I was given one on the ground floor.
