No free Internet of any kind, the A/C had two settings on or off and no heat . The remote for the TV didn't work and the lamp on the desk had a short. The sugar for the complimentary coffee in the room was liquified when opened. This is not a preferred hotel for the money and would not consider staying there again unless it was my only option.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Thanks!"
The rooms were very outdated. We had a room with two double beds and only had one towel and one washcloth. There was hair all over the bathroom and on the sheets. "Choose another hotel!!"
Check in was a nightmare. They had 3 front desk clerks trying to check in over 50 guest. (There was a child beauty pageant being held there.) Told our room would be ready at 3 then received a call from the front desk that they had overbooked and they would be putting 4 of us in a king room with a roll away. When I tried to explain we had 4 people they […] said too bad that was the only option. I than called Expedia who called the front desk and got it taken care of. "Disappointment"
There was not enough check in staff to accomadiate the amount of customers they had during my check in time. They ran out of parking, valet gave my friends car to a different person and they took off with their car. The sheets on the bed where stained and there where a few stains on the carpets. They didn't have enough parking and then I had to pay […] an additional $10 to park my car in the hotels parking deck. "Not that great"
I will not stay here again. We were here for an event so had no choice but it was no where near what I expected. The rooms were not very clean and have an odor. There was trash in our trash cans in our room when we checked in. The A/C didn't work well, never got above about 73 the whole time we were there (4 days) and was way too warm to sleep. We had […] to go to the store and buy a fan. The elevators were terrible, only 2 of the six they have were in order and the wait was over 10 m inutes to get a ride. "So disappointing."
This was rated 4 stars. Hard to understand. I have stayed in much nicer, roomier and updated rooms at Comfort Suites. We thought we were going to get a treat -- a staycation 20 miles from our house. But we were wrong. It is a business hotel, perhaps, but we expected a "roomy" room instead of small, an interesting lobby(nope) and certainly some amenities. The […] pool is outdoor, the weather has been warm(not hot) and it is Spring Break. The website claims It is heated, and it may have been, but that means it was slightly less cold than the tap water. The spa had a timer to turn on, but nothing happened when you did. There were children other than mine that braved the water, and had some fun.They had moved all chairs out of the pool area to make sure there would be no comfort of even sitting NEAR the pool during the nice weather. The only other thing available was a small workout room with mirrored walls, a few each of 6 kinds of machines and two small tvs on the wall. In our room, there were I think 10 channels on an analog connection. The game controller, which was also supposed to be for choosing movies, simply took the tv to a "loading" screen that froze. No movies, games or anything else available. Front desk said "sorry". 4 STARS Expedia?!? No. This is 2012 in DALLAS TEXAS and it might as well have been 1989 in Backwater, Texas. "Check-in system down, water turned off, no movies"
When I checked in, the computer systems were down. So they said they were sorry, and expected me to wait indefinitely until they could fix the system. I told them that I was late for a very important meeting and asked them to find an unoccupied room and let me in with a master key so that I could shower and get ready for it. They did that, but then […] I discovered the water was turned off due to maintenance for 4 hours. Later that evening, I was looking forward to watching a movie, and the on demand movie system was down. I called to ask them to fix it, but it was never fixed. The InterContinental has always been one of my favorite brands of hotels. After this trip, I will never stay there again. My room had a substantial leak in the ceiling, that the maintenance staff couldn’t fix. They moved me to several rooms, during the 3 night stay.
