"Bad experience"
When we arrived to find the pool was closed til Feb!! That was THE only reason we chose that hotel and since our room was already paid for I feel someone should have e-mailed us. "Adequate but overpriced: expect dogs"
A favorite of folks with dogs -- it seemed that everyone but us had one. Mom-and-pop family diner was next door -- total for supper, two people, was less than $15, but don't look for a glass of wine or salad. Beds were more comfortable than most, and room appeared clean but was uninspired. Breakfast included yogurt, cereal, sausage, egg patties to make […] into egg biscuits, waffles: there was space in the breakfast fridge for boiled eggs but none provided, and not quite enough places for everyone to sit. Overall, hotel was adequate but overpriced at about one hundred dollars, and your hotel points plan won't work if booked via this third party. The harried-looking clerk said we should had called the hotel directly for a better rate. Hotel was several miles from downtown, where there was a wider selection of resturants. If you must stop in wytheville, which I did, then this experience was decent value. The hotel seems older, and running down a tad. Compared to other comfort brands, this was a little below average, but not by much. It was what I expected, sans the tub drain not working well. This hotel is on the south side of whytheville, so if you want to go to diner […] in town, that's back about 5 miles.
