The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Boston is an all-suite hotel situated less than six miles (10 kilometers) from Logan International Airport. It is one mile (1.6 kilometers) from Boston University and three miles (4.8 kilometers) from Boston Harbor, and the Doubletree offers complimentary shuttle service to Boston and Harvard Square.
Hotel Features.
In the lobby, a large atrium overlooks the central hall and features large wooden beams that enclose the ceiling. The foyer is decorated in calming brown and neutral earth tones, which complement the select pine furniture. The Green Room offers floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Charles River and Boston skyline. Favorite menu items at the Green Room include seared crab cake and grilled herb-brushed lobster. For the night owls, Scullers Jazz Club hosts popular artists on a regular basis. For relaxation and unwinding, the Doubletree offers a fitness area with heated pool and adjacent spa tub. The Doubletree now offers complimentary basic wireless Internet throughout hotel. Faster speeds are available for a fee. There is also a 24-hour business center with computers, fax, and photocopy equipment.
Guestrooms.
Each of the luxurious guestrooms feature mission-style headboards and matching armoires that includes bath products, coffeemakers, and full-length mirrors. Complimentary basic wireless high-speed Internet access is available. All guestrooms have dual-line speakerphones with voicemail, 27-inch TVs with premium channels such as ESPN and HBO, MP3 docking station, and a spectacular view of the Charles River, Cambridge or the Boston skyline.
Children staying free must occupy the parent or guardian’s room with existing bedding and may not be eligible for free breakfast (if one is offered).
Self parking costs USD 35 per day (a different rate applies for extended parking)
Air conditioning is available for an extra charge
Cribs/Infant beds are available for an extra charge

"Everything fine but the bathroom"
Overall, my one-night stay was pleasant. Check-in was smooth and friendly, the room was absolutely enormous (probably 700 square feet) and nicely appointed---except for the bathroom. I'm relatively certain the shower/bathtub area hadn't been updated since the Ford administration---broken tiles, chipping grout, cracked plastic around the shower curtain, […] old fixtures (with bad water pressure). For a hotel owned by Harvard and its $40bn endowment, the condition of the bathroom was an embarrassment. Although the surrounding neighborhood isn't great, the hotel is conveniently located off the expressway, so transportation to/from Boston Logan Int'l Airport was quick and easy. "Place and price is nice"

Hotel is nothing special, but well located for Harvard University/Cambridge area. I had reserved at room with a king size bed for two nights, but when I arrived there were only rooms with twin beds alone. Conveniently located right over the bridge from Cambridge along The Charles River and not far from Fenway this establishment is worthwhile. Hot cookies are at the desk when you arrive and an indoor pool, fitness center and jazz club beckon you during your stay. Took this hotel because it was the best hotel at the best price at the time. Out of the way for a business trip and $20 taxi from downtown Boston. More convenient to Cambridge.
