"ehh...... not impressed"
Clean.. yes, nice staff... yes, but our room was by the stairs which means you hear everyone running up and down, locks were being changed on the doors so we had to listen to drills all day, room smelled of cigarrettes. "Easy access to the beach!"
Our oceanside room really should have been called parking lot view. If you looked hard, you could see the water way, way away. The best thing about the hotel is its location to the beach - it's an easy walk out the back door to the beach. Beautiful beach near the pier!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Used underwear made into our bed..."
Upon arrival to our room the toilet almost overflowed after a simple use without any toilet paper. We then awoke the next morning to find a pair of used floral size XL underwear made into the bed we had slept in. The staff was nice enough to have the garmet removed and fixed the toilet promptly but our room still wasnt cleaned till much later that day […] and it was obvious the sheets were not even changed! We were not happy with this at all. Then we found out there was no beach access due to construction and there were bugs swimming in the hot tub which was barely warm. "O.K. But Not Great"
Robert at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The hotel did not have beach access. On the website the hotel was on the beach, but due to some erosion problem we could not even walk on the beach. Very disappointing. "No ocean views in rooms billed as "ocean front""
Paid extra for an "ocean front" room. This is very misleading. Yes, the room was facing the side of the building toward the ocean, but the view was of buildings, fence and cars in an adjacent parking lot. Very disappointed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, not so clean."
This hotel was in a great location on the beach however there was no soap in the women's lobby bathroom and the pool bathroom for the entire weekend even though I let staff know several times. There was a big dirty stain on the sofa in our room, and on one of our blankets. We called down to the front desk to request another blanket and extra pillow […] and when the staff member got to our room the replacement blanket was in bad condition (torn, stained) and the staff member told us they did not have ANY extra pillows!?! The woman who worked at the daily breakfast was wonderful and tried her best but was in need of help on a full capacity weekend! The entry to the beach was dangerous at high tide. Room was very clean and beds were comfy. Only stayed for one night but requested a folding bed and it was in the room when we returned later that day. Breakfast isn't much bit a good snack to start the day. Only complaint I had was the $50 hold on credit card for incidentals even though room is paid for in advance. "Hampton INN ST augustine Beach"
No maid service on 2nd day there went ot desk to tell them and was told maids left for day. I have stayed at many Hampton inns this was my least favorite stay. They ran out of coffee at the breakfast on wednsday and were in no hurry to get any more. "Kids problem"
I thought I booked directly with Hampton Inn. We were put in a disabled access room that had a door to the next room. The room had very noisy kids the first night. The next day it was bad as well and I called the desk to see if they would be quiet. It did nont help so we requested and had to move to another room. "St. Augustine Hampton Inn, noisy"
As always the Hampton beds were heavenly which is why we stay with them but this was my most disappointing Hampton stay for other reasons. Our first night we got a beach view room which most would assume would be the best. Not in our case. It's an old building with heavy doors and no sound reduction. We heard every door slam all night long, loud sliding […] glass balcony doors and screaming children in the halls and pool which their parents nor the staff did anything about even after complaints. I was on this trip for work and all I needed was a good nights sleep that 1 night and it was awful. We switched to a parking lot view room which was better on noise but we had a bad view and still heard slamming doors.
