Many take private transfer from the airport to the Port Everglades ship terminal, where cruises depart for the Caribbean and South America. Nearby, gamblers can wager on fast-paced ballgames at Dania Jai-Alai. Boomers theme park lies directly south of the airport in Dania Beach.

Told Bell Hop wanted a taxi to Port Everglades he put us on a shuttle van & told us it was cheapest way even though I stated taxi online was only $15 for all 4 of us he insisted shuttle was cheaper. Even had to pay same price for my 5 yr old who didn't even get his own seat had to sit in my husbands lap so we could squeeze more people into van! Turns out I was correct & a taxi would have only cost us $15! Not happy w/our stay at the Hilton! Also when we arrived to airport & called hotel for transportation from the airport it took almost an hour! They are located at the airport & it still took an hour! We stayed one night, just to be close to the airport. We thought we couldn't go wrong with choosing a Hilton. We were wrong. the place was filthy. The bathroom was a horror. Dirt on the walls, floors, behind the door. And the door!!! you could bearly close the door and have a seat, if you know what I mean. People were nice enough but it wasn't too nice […] of a stay. We went to the pool and there wasn't a chair to be had. needless to say were disappointed. We will stay with Hilton again but not this one. In serious need of a makeover. "badly managed"
Badly managed. First sign was all the clocks were not changed for daylight savings. I asked the desk what time the shuttles ran, since I had a 7 am flight to nyc. I was told, not to worry and that they ran every 1/2 hour on the 1/2 hour. My friends asked for a wake up call and never got one. We went downstairs at 5:20 to catch the 5:30am shuttle and […] it was a disasater. Shuttles were done and the lines were long. I was told that the shuttles would get there when thry get there. I would have appreciated a heads up about the sunday chaos. I wuld have taken the 5am shuttle. I chose the Hilton due too it's approx to airport and the ease of the shuttle. no freebies or complimentary service here. 5-star prices with 2-star appeal. My room had a foul odor coming from the bathroom vent all night. It was nauseating! Had to share towels with my two kids because the room I paid for (double beds) only had two towels in the bathroom. Really? Unbelievable. And then, the A/C didn't work. "Gorgeous property, bad service"
First off; it is a gorgeous hotel. Well kept, beautiful pool. nice, clean rooms. However, the staff is inattentive. I called at the airport for the courtesy shuttle, was told it would be ten to thirty minutes. After waiting about forty minutes in the baking sun, I called again and was told the exact same thing, almost like the were brushing me off. […] Waited over an hour for the shuttle. Even though this website says that rollaway beds are available for all rooms (we were traveling with two adolescent boys who would not share a bed), the desk told us that fire regulations prevented rollaways in the rooms with two double beds. Asked for a couple of extra blankets so we could "mac gyver" something of a bed. Had to ask six times. Finally, they agreed to bring us a rollaway, which was nice. However, the housekeeping staff member who wheeled us the rollaway bed had a surly demeanor and acted like she was doing us a big favor. Would I stay there again? Probably not, which is a shame, because the hotel was physically very nice. But the desk staff wouldn't give us the time of day. One mitigating factor, however was the onsite bistro. "If you can get it cheap..."
I needed a hotel for an unplanned overnight stay, got a double bed room cheap. Shuttle runs every 30 min picking people up from the airport. The gift shop with the overpriced stuff is off to the side and closes at 11pm. If you're thirsty, just get stuff from vending machines. We requested a crib to be in our room before arrival and we were told it would […] be but it wasn't. Had the same experience at another hotel and I'm now wondering if hotels make this mistake to help the staff with gratuities. The room was good enough. Beds were what we needed. I will say this though. It's 2013. Tube TV's from the 1990's are a hotel no no. You'll see that other reviewers agree. You'll also see that weird thing about the bathroom door hitting the toilet. Keep in mind there is nothing within walking distance. An unfortunate combination of events led to a stressful night. Since it was an unplanned stay, I couldn't get milk for my child. No milk at the gift shop either. After an hour of my kid crying for it, I tried room service and decided I would break down and order an expensive milk I would have paid it for my kid too had room service actually answered the phone. I assumed they would be available since the menu said "available till midnight" and there was no answer at 1045pm. So for a cheap rate on a rush, no problem. "Disappointed"
The price was great. It was a Hilton, how bad could it be? It was noisy. The carpet was pulling up in several places. We had to call maintenance twice in a two day stay.
