We stayed in a smoking room, which may have been the problem, as the room was really quite tatty and rough around the edges, with a lovely view across... the rooftops. I guess this is often the case for smoking rooms, but it was disappointing given we were paying the same as non-smoking. Next time I will stay in a non-smoking room to do a comparison! But the hotel itself is really nice for a quiet night away, great bar, great restaurants, great breakfast (even if they did close the buffet 10 minutes before they were supposed to). My only complaint would be the quality of the room we had. by a Hotels.com guest on 10/26/11
