Clean and well maintained hotel. Very noisy rooms (doors banging/foot steps and conversations), not enough staff, had to wait at reception for 5 mins to be greeted and then at the bar for 10 mins to be served. Nice warm room it was very cold outside , very friendly staff, I only eat a light breakfast so refused as it was a extra £10. Supper in the bar good value very nicely prepared, wine by the glass good but red was cold and expensive by the glass. Good swimming pool small but very pleasant. "Awful service & appalling food - Not 4 star"
This hotel is certainly not worthy of 4 star status. I unfortunately booked 3 weeks of hotel hell at this place in a block booking and had poor service and awful food on every week! Issues included an ice cold shower, no running water, blocked shower tray, blown light bulbs, dirty towels, microwaved english breakfasts and digusting food that was over […] priced and had to be sent back to the kitchen. During one of the weeks there was no lager on tap at all for at least 3 days - Totally disorganised. I used to like the Mecure brand and booked with them a lot however after such a poor response and virtually no customer service I will never use them again. I was offered a complimentary meal yet due to their atrocious internal communication I was presented with a £125 bill at the end of the week when I had only ever ordered 1 meal which was so poor it was sent back. The over-charge happened because supposedly inclusive breakfasts and the complimentary meal given as a apology appeared on the biill and receptionist was not informed of the situation so had to fight the bill and made to look embarrassed infront of other customers. "Poor facilities and microwaved english breakfasts"
This hotel is set in a good location outside of the town centre in its own grounds. The gym facility is ok too with good spa/thermals facilities. Drink however is expensive, food over-priced especially given the only average quality and was horrified to be served english breakfasts in little china bowls which had clearly been microwaved! Dirty towel […] found on arrival and faulty plumbing in room meant no shower however this was quickly rectified with full apology which appeared genuine. "Over-priced, poor service and £40 for wifi? Not 4*"
I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at the Albrighton Hall hotel. There was stains from a leaking ceiling upon my arrval and a dirty towel left for me. Despite this apparently being a 4 star hotel, wi-fi is not included and they charge an eye watering £40 extra for it! This is th efirst hotel I have ever experienced this and I believe it is […] indication that they do not understand their customer base. Food at Albrighton is also over-priced and of a substandard quality. Whether its microwaved english breakfasts or lamb casterole which is on par with bargin ready meals from the super-market (only Albrighton Halls costs around £16), its hard to find a good value plate of good food. Save for one member of breakfast staff, many of the waitresses seem to be poorly trained and never smile or say thank you. Indeed I was left to wait 15 minutes to be served whilst two young waitresses gossiped to each other in the kitchen area in clear view through the double doors. Very poor service and no apology. Albrighton Hall also has a gym and thermal rooms, however throughout my stay the thermal rooms were either all out of action or mostly out of action and the floors in the changing room, pool area were absolutely disgusting meaning I showered twice after visiting. The location is great however there is no way this hotel is worthy of its 4 star status.
