we were disappointed to be told the only real ale which was flowers had run out in the afternoon. then to find boddingtons was not drinkable which is not a real ale. then we were told the murhys had ran out as well. my wife had white wine which we had to return to the bar vinegary taste. this wine may have been opened for some time.i have never seen […] so many drinks returned to the bar.i might add that the staff were excellent and the breakfast too. "great airport hotel"
excellent as usual we have stayed here a few times now and will definatly stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was fine for overnight stay, but we had done park & fly and my complaint being we were informed by the taxi driver to wait under the silver tree in the airport on our return.Iactually phoned the hilton to be told we had to go to arrow cars where we would be picked up and taken back to the hotel to pick up our car.Not as simple as you think, because […] we had golf clubs we were told we would have to wait till we could fit in a car with others,no problem but the taxi driver gave us constant grief about how much it costs to keep his car looking good and we should have to pay extra,to which I replied we have already paid extra to take them on holiday why be treated in such a rude manner. There were only 3 of us travelling and eventually reached the hilton in separate cars, the driver doing all the winging over the clubs swouldnt take them in his car and the man who took my husband and son with the clubs was a really pleasant guy and also had the same size car of the rude moaner.I suggest you use another company if you have to use taxis. "not disabled friendly"
as a disabled guest I was very disappointed to find only 4 disabled bays for such a large hotel which involved parking a long way from the door and a lot of walking. Also we were in a family room but only given towels for a double one, rectified after query at reception but then the problem was replicated on second night as cleaners had removed dirty […] towels and left us short again, this necessitated my daughter walking round to reception as they didnt answer phone. Also the fact that you have to pay £5 per night to park! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hilton???"
We arrived from a delayed flight and were checked in quite quickly. Then we got to the room....First thing to note was the smell, this was a "non-smoking" "Family" room which consisted of a double bed and a pull out single spring bed. The room was very outdated and had a lot of unnecessary bulky furniture. Sitting on the main double bed was funny, the […] matress was probably changed about 20 years ago as you could feel all the lumps and bumps and it made noise each time you moved on it. The single bed was laughable with the springs actually sticking into your back. We complained and were offered a bed change but as we had a 3yr old with us we needed something quick as it was 2230. We were moved the next floor which was like a different world, everything was newly painted and the horible smell had vanished. We were moved to some "superior" suite that the manager did remind me cost a lot more!......Long and short of the story, will never stay at this or any other "Hilton Hotel". It was over priced for what would have been a very uncomfortable nights stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel did exactly what' it said on the tin' in that it provided us with a comfortable bed for the night prior to our flight out of East Midlands airport however it was the extra costs which left us a little dumb founded. The cost to park for the one night would have bought a decent meal for three. speaking of eating, as it was fairly late we decided […] to eat in the hotel - what a big mistake. The menu was limited but extortinate in price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Disappointed. Budget hotel experience."
After a long late night flight, we were hoping for an easy check in at 4am. Unfortunately this was not the case. We had to wait ten minutes for our keys to be handed over and to sign some paperwork. The last thing we needed after a long flight - or so we thought. After making our own way to the room (no help with suitcases offered) we went into our […] room, only to find it was a twin (we had booked a double). After ringing reception, the receptionist informed me that it had been booked as a twin. I had the bookig confirmation in my hand and it clearly stated double so she immediately found us a double to move into. However, this meant going back down to reception for the keys and then back up to a new floor (with suitcases still in tow and no help offered again!). When we got to the new room, the toilet didn't flush and the hot water tap didn't work but at this point, we were so exhausted, we just couldn't be bothered to deal with anymore and just went to bed exasperated. Not the experience I would have expected from a hilton, more from a budget hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A convenient stopover"
It is a very convenient hotel for an overnight stay. If you are using a Garmin GPS, do be careful as the postcode will take you elsewhere! We were offered a speedy check-in and the room was ready by the time we arrived. The breakfast was quite filling (the hot range was a bit colder than expected) but it offered a good choice. The restaurant staff was […] very helpful and attentive. Parking (and associated payments etc) is a bit of a hassle but we were not charged the £5 fee for overnight parking. All the staff was very professional and polite (as you would expect from a Hilton property) and they do seem to be having an airport shuttle service too. Very convenient location from Nottingham city! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"good stop off on way south"
Nice hotel ,good location.Although very busy had plenty of car parking for one nighters and holiday parkers. Food expensive and drinks really expensive but you don't have to indulge. Families may find it useful to take some nibbles and drinks with them.Plenty of space in the room, well furnished. Nice bathroom with toiletries. Would use again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely family break"
Catered for all our needs as soon as we checked in. Allowed us to check in early, ground floor room and travel cot set up already. Pool was great with the little one and food in the bar was very good. Breakfast had so much to offer and high chair and separate dining area was provided so as not to disturb other guests. Would come and stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review

nice and clean, only reasons why it was not a 5/5 was that my room was a very tiny bit draughty and the hot water was scalding hot water and the cold water was hot waterGenuine Expedia guest review

"++++ Pleasant stay and helpful staff ++++"
A good 4* hotel at a very reasonable price including one of the nicest breakfasts we've had. We took our little girl (18months) with us and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel. They really made us feel welcome, especially given the snowfall on the Saturday evening. We had an early dinner on the Sat and again the hotel staff went out of their […] way to get highchairs, move tables and prepare food for our daughter. We will certainly be back to stay again. "Exactly what you'd expect!"
The hotel was exactly what you would expect from an airport location Hilton. Staff were freindly and efficient. Room was basic but comfortable. Only ate breakfast which was fine. The location is not quite as close to the airport as I thought it was going to be but that is probably a bonus with regards to airport noise. Good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hilton East Midlands Airport"
I have used this hotel often and it never fails to impress. Courteous, friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast with nice fresh food of high quality. Comfortable above average room, good bar and lounge. If you fancy something simple that's not on the menu, like an omelette, they'll make it for you. Plenty of parking (a £5 supplement but well worth […] it) plus an average gym with sauna, steam room and pool. The surrounding area is OK but not spectacular, as it is on a dual carriageway but no traffic noise and a very convenient location for Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and the East Midlands. It is named as being the Hilton East Midlands Airport, but unlike the other airport hotels it is not on the airpoprt complex, which in my view makes it a better place to stay. I'm using it as a base for the Trent Bridge test match in June (a mere 20 minute drive to the ground) and look forward to yet another enjoyable stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely hotel"
We had a real bargain on this hotel for the night, and the room and fitness suite were lovely, clean and comfortable. You do need to pay a parking fee of £5 for an overnight stay, which they waived for us, but I think this was goodwill as it was a bank holiday. We also received a bill in the middle of the night slipped under the door for £37, which […] was un-itemised, but when we queried it with reception they were quick to say it had been a mistake and apologise. "Relaxing break, just what we needed"
From the minute we checked in, the service was great and we were made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and very comfortable with a flat screen tv. "Great deal if you have children with you."
The hotel was convenient for what I wanted to do in the area. The room was fabulous and the swimming pool great. Children are well catered for and this was the reason I chose this hotel rather one of the six in the area. We had a meal in the lounge/bar area which was delicious and the children's meal was free. The only downside was the service at breakfast. […] Even though it was 8.30am no-one was at the greeter desk and we had to wait until she emerged from the bar area. Breakfast choice was very good. However there were no fried eggs already cooked and no-one behind the counter cooking them to order. In fact I never saw anyone during our 40mins there. We all opted for the scramled egg which was very nice but would have prefered a fried or poached egg. Waiter staff were chatting to each other just outside the breakfast room and only seemed to be clearing plates rather than offering service to anyone. The room deal was excellent so accepted the fact that I had to pay £5 a night to park my car (not a policy I'm very keen on and would sway my decision to which hotel I would choose).
