Eden Valley really is Cumbria's hidden gem. Rolling meadows and quiet country lanes weave through quaint villages, creating landscapes of breathtaking beauty. Situated on the path of Hadrien's Wall, Carlisle is a lively city, and a great location for exploring the surrounding fells. A wealth of historical landmarks lie on its doorstep, including the well-preserved Carlisle Castle and the Citadel.see all hotels in Cumbria (county)
"Clean, quality, superb!"
If I could give an even higher rating I would. This is one of the best most comfortable places I've stayed in. The room was spacious and the beds were so warm and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and the staff very friendly and polite. Very neat and cosy place. I'd recommend it to anyone heading for the Dales.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A delightful place to stay."
We w ere very satisfied - our room was cosy and very clean with plenty of fresh towels in the bathroom. We had wondered whether there might be noise from the pub below but we were not aware of any troublesome noise at all. The restaurant which provided us with very good meals at both dinner and breakfast was busy but the staff served us as quickly as […] they could - and apologised sincerely for delays due to the volume of customers. We hope to return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fantastic hotel, in a beautiful location. Helpful and friendly staff, good food, real ale and local rhubarb wine. WiFi & TV worked brilliantly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great weekend break hotel"
The hotel is in a very quiet position. It is well presented throughout and no signs of any wear. Our room was a bit small but was still large enough. The food was excellent and the people very friendly. The only thing I would like to see is a larger selection of malt whiskies.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
