"Excellent country hotel"
Very nice hotel / restaurant / bar / shop, popular with the walkers. Rooms a little small and could do better with the removal of cobwebs from the fixtures and fittings. The staff were excellent though and the restaurant serves excellent food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice location, good area for walking (not too strenuous). The Black Swan is is excellent, beautifully restored by current owners from its previous state and extremely comfortable, Bar has good beers (according to the husband) and the food which can be eaten in bar or restaurant is fantastic quality. We loved this hotel. My husband rated the cask beers as excellently well kept. We loved the food, tasty and plenty of it. Breakfast lovely too. Regards the 4's for the room instead of 5's, the bed side table was a bit dusty and we prefer a shower rather than a bath with a shower head attachment. Really friendly, great food, and a lovely setting, with plenty of short or long walks in a handy little booklet published by the hotel itself. A perfect place to stay. Room 15 (4 poster with fireplace and an amazing bathroom) was the best room we have every stayed in. The owners and staff are very friendly and the food was perfect. The Black Swan is a delightful little hotel and pub in a beautiful setting. We spent 1 night there with our friends and had a fantastic time. We booked to eat in the resturant and the food was superb - couldn't comment on the sweet menu as we were all too full to even look!
