This hotel is in walking distance of the ruins in Pompeii as well as downtown modern Pompei. It is also in walking distance of the train station (Circumvesuviana) that will take you to Herculaneum, Sorrento and Naples. The hotel is comfortable and clean. "Fantastic little hotel"
We've just come back from our stay at the Hotel Diana. It was fantastic. The reviews are spot on. I'm always a little nervous booking hotels online - never quite sure what to expect and there have been a couple of disappointments, but this is not one of them. It is only the lack of a swimming pool that stops this hotel being 4*. The staff are lovely […] and helpful and mostly english speaking. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are stylish. Even the hotel's own restaurant is good. It's only for hotel guests and does fairly basic foods - gnocci, simple salads, pasta - but it's all delicious and really good value. The house wine isn't bad either! In terms of sightseeing, it's a 5-10 minute walk through Pompei's main square to the ampitheatre entrance to the ruins. It's 2 minutes from Pompei station (not Pompei Scavi - it's the Pompei station on the TrenItalia line from Naples) I'd really really recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed. "great location, good hotel"
the location towards the pompei-ruins is perfect. 15 minutes walk to the entrance. In the centre but in a quiet deadend street. The hotel is brandnew and really comfortable. And the reception is SO GOOD! 100% friendly and perfect info about restaurants etc etc.The breakfastbuffet is basic, like in all Italy.
