A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfi’s star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.

Great hotel, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only drawback of the room is that if you have a street/water view room, it can be noisy at night. The back side of the hotel is probably perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel close to center of town"
Hotel was moderately comfortable. Hard bed, cheap pillows. Bathroom was OK, but shower was really small. Location fabulous. Right in town with awesome views of Amalfi.
