"Bad experience, not recomended"
1. We arrived at the airport at 1:30 pm, tired and hungry and the hotel staff told us that they could not give us the room, nor leave us saved because they had luggage space!!. We had to wait almost three hours to give us the room. 2. My reservation was for a room with a king size bed and got a room with a queen size bed because it was all they had. […] I cheated. 3. My reservation included breakfast for 2 people for 3 days, however none of the three days it was possible to have breakfast because the breakfast area is extremely small, people would not fit, there was no food, was a complete disaster. "Deceiving Exterior"
The hotel needs to substantially remodel their rooms, even their shuttle needs to be replaced. There was a problem between Hotels.com and Baymont; Baymont had to take time to find our reservation at Hotels.com. "Not worth the cheap rates"
I scored a room here cheaply & I still paid too much. After reading other reviews, it seems that most of us who get a super cheap rate also get the same room. That would be room 109. It’s the handicapped room next to the laundry room to which you get to hear CONSTANT chatter from employees socializing throughout the night/morning. You will also be privy […] to having a maids cart right outside your door at any given time. The other reviews are correct about the smell. It’s a lovely mildew smell, which I assume is coming from the 3 foot wide water stain on the carpet, as well as many other stains. Also on the carpet is toothpaste, still wet from the previous guest as I unfortunately found out whilst walking barefoot. The smell was so bad I had to go to the grocery store across the street to buy some Lysol. Also be prepared to have the shower/toilet area to be uncomfortably wet after a shower. There is no tub to “catch” the water. It’s just one open room & the water gets everywhere. Also, there was a lot of hair all over the floor (not from your head) & the actual shower area completely dirty. Luckily, I had water shoes so I showered with those on. In regards to small details that this hotel looks over, my towels had lipstick on them, the wall lights had burn marks on the shades, horrible patchwork on the walls from whatever damage was done there, the list goes on. "Broken shower/clueless staff/horrible service"
Far away from the airport (USD 30+ cost the taxi from the airport). The free airport shuttle works only until 11pm (we arrive at midnight). The staff knows very little about anything. They could not even tell you at what time the shuttle could take us to a nearby shopping mall the next morning - by the way the shuttle can take you there only one per […] day) Also, the staff refused to store our luggage after checking out for a few hours until we had to leave for the airport - which is a very standard service offered by hotels!!. I still can;t believe they said no with a straight face! WORST SERVICE EVER Finally, we got a room with a wheelchair accessible shower (we did not request it neither need it!)...the shower had no separation from the bathroom floor and the shower head was broken so it could not be adjusted for somebody who is not in a wheelchair. If you care about breakfast, the one offered at this horrible hotel has no fruit, all is sugar fat and carbs - horrible. Don't waste your money at this horrible hotel. You can stay for half the money at a hotel 5 mins from the airport and then take a shuttle to the malls ($10 round trip) if you are staying in Miami for shopping during a stop over. "Never again...no matter the price"
I suppose I got the lousy room since I booked through hotels.com. I was on the first floor, near the lobby, next door to the hotel's commercial laundry room, with a housekeeping cart parked outside my room at all times, in a handicap room. The room was smelly and moldy (I'm allergic to mold so this was a huge problem). "The most horrible hotel I have ever lived in!!!"
This is the first time I'm writing a review on Expedia. I'm not a picky person, but this inn is definitely the worst one I have ever lived in according to my 2-day experience there. When I opened the door of my room, I saw several advertisement papers scattering on the floor. Then I quickly noticed some stuff on the carpet. The curtains where smaller than the window and I would have to choose which side of the window I wanted to have people allow to see in. The carpets are horribly dirty. "Baymont Inn Miami Airport Hotel Maintenance"
I would not recommend this hotel. Our room was not clean. There was mold on the ceiling, shower was broken, stucco coming off of wall in bathroom, our sock feet were brown from the dirty carpet, cob webs on the walls and cirgarette burns on the comforter. The back door in the hotel was suppose to have a key entry for security and the door was open the […] entire visit. You could not shut the door. When my husband reported the broken shower, which the knob fell off in his hand, he went to have breakfast and while he was gone I was in the shower and the maid came into the room.. past a do not disturb sign...I was in the shower with it running and she was knocking on my door to get into the shower to fix it. She did not speak good english and we went back and forth for a few minutes for her to leave the room and we would let them know when we left our room so they could return and fix the shower. Seriously, who knocks on a bathroom door in a hotel room with the shower running and expect to get in. Especially knowing that there is someone in the shower. It is safe to say that next year on our annual trip to south FL we will not be staying at this hotel. As a matter of fact we scouted out locations for next year while we were there.
