"Avoid rooms at the front !!"
I've stayed here a few times, normally even the standard room is well appointed and spacious although lacking in-room tea and coffee facilities. This last time though I got stuck at a room on the 2nd floor at front of the hotel, this had a kettle, but the room was small and smelt strongly of new paint, opening the window you had traffic noise and people […] talking loudly. Large hotel with lots of parking, wifi in rooms with good connectivity, clean and spacious. Only thing I can say against is that the I ate in the bar and the food/drinks service was quite slow, they didn't appear to have enough staff on the bar and it took 20 mins to get served, also I didn't like that every time you order anything from the bar they […] add on 10% service charge, so I've downgraded them one point on this, otherwise a good stay. Good hotel quite large with plenty of parking, the food in the bar area is good although the service is quite slow (for food and drinks) and the bar tends to closes quite early. "FamiLy room should have proper beds provided"
Booked family room for 2 adults and 2 kids 12 & 13 to find 2 z beds with no more support than a non league football team! I had to let the kids stay in the bed whilst I slept on the floor! Having stated ages I would have expected single beds At least - this could have happened anywhere but after asking where was best to park the hire car and anywhere […] was the answer I returned in the morning to A note saying sorry for crashing into your car! "Good for the money"
For the money I paid it was good, the room I got was small with no aircon but I could open the window so that was fine. The bed was old but comfortable, I think Moses used the bed once... There was free Internet access this is good. Staff were friendly, chekin and checkout was quick. Styling of hotel was ok, but I think needed some upkeep in my room […] as wall paper was peeling a bit. Room was very clean, and bathroom impeccable. "Disappointing"
Hotel had great reviews but......tv was not working , I called the front desk several times before somebody finally answered and came and fixed the problem. First stop at this hotel ~ business travel ~ limited time to enjoy facilities but the overall appearance and upkeep of the hotel was very good ~ cleanliness of room is very important to me and glad to say that there were no issues here at all ~ the key things for me were excellent clean sheets and bedding (always a must have) ~ bathroom cleanliness […] extremely good and well maintained bathroom facilities which is not always the case these days ~ wine glasses and tea / coffee facilities also spot on for cleanliness ~ wireless internet connection available within lounge and bar areas plus via cable in room (cable supplied by hotel reception foc) was also very good ~ there was an issue with the server during the two days I was there but reception sorted this out very quickly ~ so for business users who need to be connected this was overall a very good service ~ ate one evening in the bar area and had a good experience ~ food was hot and tasy (nachos grande) and beer also very good (Tetleys draft) ~ breakfast was also a good experience with self service cold and cooked food ~ enjoyed the fact that even though this was self service the standard of the food was also good i.e. quality of bacon extremely good and eggs freshly prep'd ~ definitely better than the average ~ would definitely return and also recommend to colleagues Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
