"Don't stay here unless you are desparate!"
On arrival we asked the receptionist for a twin room. When we got to the room it was a double. Went back to reception and once again asked for a double room of which it took 20 minutes to get the electronic key to work which involved several trips back to reception. The beds were hard and the duvet's wafer thin! The whole room and bathroom and in fact […] the whole hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. We also had friends staying in the same hotel. They had no hot water on their arrival and the double bed was tiny. The fire alarm went off early the following morning because of the toasters!!!! people were outside in freezing tempratures just because someone was not monitoring a toaster!!! "Never stay at the Ramada at Bury st Edmunds!"
This is the worst hotel I have stayed at for many years. I actually left and moved to another hotel instead. The staff were rude and abrupt. The service was casual and terribly slow. The food I ordered took ages, and I was told to be patient when asked when it was coming. Ramada is meant to be a good brand. Never again.
