Located in the heart of Melbourne's central business district, the Travelodge Southbank Melbourne stands within 200 meters (656 feet) of a major shopping center, restaurants, and the Crown Casino.

This location was ideal for exploring Melbourne CBD. Weekend daily charges for the public car park were very reasonable. Rooms and service were very good. okay except for parking as twice our parking ticket would not validate.Last time we were late getting to the boat because of this. Also shower was not cleaned properly. We booked the hotel on short notice when looking for a good value centrally located Melbourne hotel. We were not disappointed. In fact, our expectations were exceeded as we were (based perhaps on slightly outdated expectations of the brand in Europe) probably not anticipating the slick and high quality accommodation we enojyed. We appreciated the apart-hotel […] facilities provided such as the ability to 'order in' food from local restaurants/ take aways and the basic in-room catering facilities. Unlike some places we have stayed in, although wi-fi was available it was at an additional cost and the bed was a little on the small side compared to other places.
