"Convenient location, very disappointing service"
We didn't enjoy our stay at the Regency at all. From the poor treatment at reception (don't forget your voucher - we were asked how did we know we were staying there without it then shooed to one side while I searched for it in my email), to the overcrowding at the 'private' beach where staff put commercial interest over client comfort, to the blank […] response to a stolen camera from our room, this was a generally unpleasant stay. The hotel reception even refused to change $100 one evening (only around PHP 4,000) claiming they didn't have change. They directed me instead to one of the ATMs on the beachfront. The rooms are nice enough, although dated. Lovely bathroom, however and the pool etc. are true to the pictures on the website. Kudos to the resort manager who was very apologetic for the unpleasantness of his staff and cancelled the transfer charges (PHP 700 each for what was an excellent service from the airport) by way of apology.
