This hotel is nice and well equipped, with all of the conveniences i could have hoped for. To say it is 4-stars, I feel, is pushing it. However, it is at least 3.5-stars, and perfectly nice. My room was clean and my shower was hot, what more could I really hope for? The breakfast buffet is adequate - not the best I've ever had, but better than many […] I've had for this price. The house-keeping staff is good - didn't clean as spotless as other hotels, but adequate, again, for the price. The hotel staff is VERY friendly, and I was very happy here. One note - this hotel is on one of the busiest, noisiest streets in Cairo. It didn't bother me in the least. I've spent a lot of time in Cairo, and know that the city in general is noisy and crowded. However, if this sort of thing bothers you, stay somewhere else! It would really be unreasonable to stay anywhere on Pyramid Street, and then complain about "noise." Read more

for the price you cant complain too much. However it is on a very busy street. I Was on the sixth floor and I can still hear all the noise from the traffic. Other than that it wasnt too bad. The continental breakfast was ok, could've been a little better. See above but will add that the view of the Pyramids is excellent from where I was on the 6th floor but it is deceptively further than they appear which I found out by walking up there at night. probably 3 klms. The pyramids are huge ! If you ride a Camel on your Pyramid tour, don't gallop it as I did or you will end up very saddle sore ! LoL Enjoy […] the experience though as it's awesome ! Read more

Rooms were very comfortable, breakfast had good variety and dinner buffet was good as well. We could see the pyramids from our hotel window. Location was good as a start point for the tours but a bit far from the airport.

the hotel was nice ,tho i think more attention could have been spent on the rugs under the tables in front reception. the staff were very very helpful on several occasions when i had to call on them (had problem with room key) even had a workman come and open my combination lock on new suitcase without breaking it and for that i cannot thank them enough. the […] taxi service run by the hotel was amazing and the staff were all brilliant especially my driver Mohamed who went out of his way to help me and with who i shall remain friends. the cars used were spotlessly clean and in top condition and blissfully air conditioned. Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful, excellent customer service!! The hotel is located very close to the pyramids but kind of far from downtown Cairo. There was a lot of restaurants in the area, fast food chains such as Mc donalds, Hardees and KFC was like 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Our room was average clean, normal size and had a safe, […] fridge but no minibar. Good toiletries especially the shoe shine sponge which was very useful after coming back from the pyramids. The swimming pool was very small. Superfast laundry service. Overall you are paying a reasonable price for this hotel therefore cannot really complain, as I would personally pay a bit extra on my next visit and stay at a 5 star hotel in downtown Cairo. 4km from pyramids, we were on 6th floor with a view of pyramids which was an unexpected surprise. Food was good but not great in comparison to the food we'd had on our nile cruise. Only book this hotel through third party websites as the price they advertise in reception is extortionate - they advertise four times what we paid. Not exactly a great neighbourhood […] but you cant fault the hotel for this because this is what most of Cairo is like. Staff attentive, helpful, left us to decide whether to tip (rare in Egypt) and had a reasonably priced taxi service! You might be driven out of the shared areas by a saxaphone song on repeat CONSTANTLY. Read more

I tayed at this hotel through August. It is a good hotel. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good and the room where I stayed for 5 days was comfortable. On arrival however, my son and I were a little dissapointed as the internet wifi service offered by the hotel was not working for 2 days. Eventually it worked and internet access was possible. Cairo […] is experiencing political change right now with the demise of the former President Mubarak who was forced out of power. This mood reflects on the people of Cairo. It can feel a little unsafe outside the hotel in the evening. My son and I experienced verbal abuse by local people outside of the hotel around 200 metres up th Pyramid road towards the Macdonalds restaurant. Overall, I feel the people of Cairo resent Westerners. The Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara were amazing, Saqqara is definately worth a trek. These Pyramids in Saqqara are even older in age than the Giza Pyramids. The view from the Saqqara area across the horizon is surprisingly beautiful and green. There are so many sights to see in Cairo, the Islamic culture and the Mosques are examples of excellent architecture, The Coptic culture of Egypt is equally impressive and rich with beautiful architecture, history. This hotel offers a very good tour service. Our driver Mohammed was a very good driver with good knowledge of the road system in Cairo. Horizon Pyramids is a good hotel and I would reccomend this hotel. Read more

Great stay at this hotel for a few nights during December. Its an older hotel, but very clean with a comfortable room and helpful staff. The location is outside of the city centre, on the main road to the pyramids, so there isn't too much to do directly outside the hotel, and be warned that the sound of traffic can be heard clearly within the rooms […] located on the main road side of the hotel. The tour desk staff were very helpful in planning custom day trips (with a little haggling of course). Buffet breakfast included in the price was very good as well. Die Standardzimmer sind sehr schön mit Balkon und Blick auf die Pyramiden. an einer sehr stark befahrenen Strasse. Gutes Brakfastbuffet, kann auch nach Lust etwas anderes bestellen. セキュリティーもしっかりしていて部屋もきれい。全体的に不快感なく滞在できるホテルだと思います。インターネットも無料で使用できる為助かりました。大きな通り沿いにホテルがある為移動も便利でした。ただ私は気になりませんでしたが人によっては車のクラクションや外の騒音が気になるかもしれません。
