Hotels throughout Egypt have been severely underbooked since the Revolution, so they're making up the difference by a combination of cutting back on... renovations, lowering rates, and reducing or charging more for certain services. Here, the room wasn't properly cleaned when we got there, but they very apologetically cleaned it when I brought it to their attention. Despite being in need of some renovaiton, the room was cleaner and more well appointed than most hotels we stayed at in Egypt. The bed was very comfortable, and there were nice touches like complementary toiletries and fruit. The gardens are still well maintained and afford a good view of the pyramids. The wireless is okay but only works in the lobby. Breakfast was good, with lots of variety. Room was comfy and was in a quite place. Buffet breakfast was very good. Two real issues were: surroundings were terible because of all polution from traffic. Hotel lobby was smoking area and that is the only place to use internet. Staff was helpful and friendly.

unless you are going for the ancient pyramids, then you should go closed to city. You must be prepared to walk long ways to your room. Needs new Carpeting.

the hotel has a good view of the pyramids but the pool looks much smaller than in the photos. also the pool inside is for decoration only and is not a swim up bar. Stannade på Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx Kairo under två dagar och skulle rekommendera detta hotell hundra gånger om! Det första som slog mig och min fästman var att det var en sådan otroligt skön och lugn plats i allt det galna och bullriga kairo. Hotellet låg precs vid pyramiderna, i utkanten av Kairo. Det flesta som åker till Kairo är mest troligtvis […] ute efter att få se pyramiderna och alla andra monument, men det var ändå väldigt skönt att få ha tillgång till deras fina pool som man bara kunde slappa vid efter en hel dag vid diverse pyramider. Mycket fint service överlag: rent rum, god och fullständig frukost, serviceinriktad personal. Bilderna på Hotels.com rättfärdigar inte detta fina hotell och dess fantastiska utsikt! Otroligt vackert att ta sig en arabisk kaffe på hotellets takrerass i solnedgången och pyramiderna som utsikt :). Vidare kan jag säga att det är lite långt från centrum och till te x Kairo museét. Räkna med ca 1 timmes taxifärd under en vanlig dag. Trots detta tyckte vi ändå att det var värt att bo lite längre ut men slippa bullret. Nous sommes satisfait de cet hôtel. Le point fort est la situation : 15 minutes à pied des pyramides. L'hôtel est propre, dispose de plusieurs restaurants, belle piscine. Pour info, les chambres donnant vue sur le jardin (vers l'intérieur) sont calmes, du côté route c'est un peu plus bruyant. Contents de cet hôtel en tout cas!
