Ko Olina Beach Villas Resort

Ko Olina Beach Villas was a luxurious and private location with many amenities. Unfortunately, during our stay the main pool area was close for repairs. We were limited to the "quiet" adult pool area with three little kids. This was our only complaint. There were alternatives, as there are three lagoons (man-made beach fronts) adjacent to the condo […] complex. There's a fourth lagoon, but we never saw it or it was off the beaten path. Note that Beach Villas is a condo complex with some additional services like towels, daily room cleaning and a small work-out facility. There's nice Wolfe BBQs (four) located around the main pool area (the pool area under repair). The "partial" ocean view rooms actually have more of an ocean view than you might think. Getting around Honolulu: staying in Ko Olina is not Honolulu. If you are planning a lot of cultural experiences in and around Honolulu, I do not recommend this location, as the H-1 does back-up and can take up to an hour to get to Waikiki, Diamond Head or further South. If you do stay in Ko Olina, we highly recommend you explore Kaena Point for a hike or for an amazing beach. The Beach Villas do NOT offer restaurants, but you'll have a full kitchen and there's a Costco in Kapolei to stock your refrigerator and freezer. You can access all restaurants in the Ko Olina Resort area across from JW Marriott, and you can also access all restaurants in the neighboring JW Marriott, the Mariott Resors and Disney Aulani. I think the Hotel Location was great, however the GYM facility is very poor. It would be also a plus if this hotel had a restaurant or place to eat. Staff was very friendly. For a beach resort, no beach accessories such as chairs on the beach like the two resorts next to it. We just got back from a 7 day stay at the villas. The rooms were amazing!! Very modern and upper class. We had a lanai that opened up to a grassy area on the bottom floor which was really nice and peaceful. I would recommend this hotel to those who are not looking for the glamour of a Marriott or Westin. The grounds were nice with 2 swimming pools and […] a koi pond area which was very relaxing. The only downfall was the the hotel had no restaurants, only one bar, and the workout facility only consisted of a couple different machines. I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We needed a little R & R which this hotel provided. This vacation was the first for my family. We chose Ko Olina Beach Villa Resort because of the price and facility, even though we never visited it before. So, there was apprehension going into this blindly. We trusted what others had said about the facility and area. After the vacation, we were very satisfied with the accomidations and location. The […] resort is very close to a clean and well maintained man-made lagoon. Eventually the first Disney Hawaii resort will open and this "privacy" may become less private really fast. Until that happens, you should have plenty of sand space and relaxation time on the beach. If you are mixing a golf vacation with your trip, I would suggest not going to the golf course adjacent to the resort...it's too expensive. My wife and I are intermediate to advanced golfers and we both concluded it was not worth the price. Do your research; you'll find many above par courses less than a 15 minute drive from the resort. There is a Costco, Target and Safeway within a 5 minute drive from the resort and plenty of restaurants. This resort does not have a restaurant or food service so, if you want to walk, you will need to visit the Marriott Resort next door. If you have a car, we found good to great restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Our room was more of a condo so, we prepared 50% of our meals in the condo. One thing to note is room service is not 24hrs. Not a big deal but we ran into a problem with one of the toilets and we had to wait until morning. Read more

I would have given this condo a 5 star rating but two out of three hot tubs were not working and it appeared that they were not intending to fix them. The condo unit is very nice and the 3 bedroom partial ocean view unit was awesome. We could easily live there long term. It's ideal for families. The open kitchen concept with all the luxury appliances […] was a bonus. The beach is a very short walk from the back of the condo and it's beautiful and not very busy. If you rent in Ko Olina, you need to have a car to get around to get groceries and things. Kapolei is about a nine minute drive and they have everything like Target, Walmart, movie theatre and restaurants. Read more

Ein herrlich gelegenes Hotel (Villas als Begriff ist hier irrefuehrend). Die Lagunen sind sehr schoen und die Hotelpools und Spa auch gut. DIe Kueche ist toll und mit kleinen Kindern ist das Hotel sehr gut geeignet. Man merkt jedoch, dass es sich um keine originaere Location handelt (Personal versprueht nicht den wie z.B. in Turtle Bay bekannten hawaii […] spirit und ist insgesamt vergleichsweise wenig aufmerksam abr nicht unhoeflich).
