Stayed here on many occasions, hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms. The food options here are very limited and far from being the best, I skipped the breakfast each morning as nothing was available for my South Beach diet, also the bar is quite expensive. "Interviewing in Cambridge"
We used the HIE as our base for our son's interview at Cambridge. I would highly recommend this property. The triple occupancy room was more than adequate in size (for UK accommodation). Breakfast was good and free wifi in the great room was of adequate speed. Location is the only issue. Plan on 9 to 10 pounds each way into town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Non-smoking room, clearly smoked in"
The bathroom was so smoked-in I could hardly breathe. Having asthma, I quickly reported it. I was told they would clean it properly OR they would try to give me a new room. They didn't clean it and I wasn't given a new room either. Very nice hotel. Easy parking. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. They billed my credit card twice for room rent, which I found out few days after my stay. The reception service was adequate, I arrived at just before 9pm, which turned out to be too late to get anything to eat in the restaurant. There was no room service at all and unfortunately, the minimum of refreshments - exactly two tea bags, two coffee sachets and four mini cartons of milk contained no biscuits. The hotel is on an out of town retail […] park, so there was no where nearby to eat either. If I'd have known in advance, I could have stopped at a petrol station on the way and picked up something. The room rate was what I was looking for in the area and was OK for a basic, cheapish overnight stay, booked at relatively short notice.
