"Good value"
Spent 2 nights. Nice room and good breakfast. Disappointed with evening meal where service was incredibly slow despite there being only one other table dining. Very good value stay overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Buxton location"
The room was comfortable but the one thing we needed most of all was to warm up on a rainy and cold April 2012 day. The shower was a trickle! My daughter and I wanted to wash our hair that night and warm up but it was not to be. The hotel looked old and worn and past its best.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall OK but not quite central enough"
It was fair enough for the price. But it's up a hill from the town centre. On a cold night we got a taxi from the market place area as the walk would have been about 15 mins, but was less than £3 in a taxi. Yes it's walkable, but frankly, the location probably accounts for the reason it's a bit cheaper than the other places.. The other negative was […] the lack of any soundproofing between the rooms.
