I stayed for 6 days and the breakfast was the same everyday,looks like leftover scramble eggs and sausage,everyday. My bill was paid in full before check-in. I could not check in until I gave them $150.00 for a cleaning fee. It was too late to cancel,so I have to give them $150.00. It was very noisy between 7:00 p m and 12:00 am. Most of the time wifi didnot work. The bus was about 2 blocks from hotel. The cleaning staff was the best. I felt that everything about the hotel was good. I have stayed in so many different places throughout the United States and Woodbine was listed as 2 star.... The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Liked have refrigerater and microwave in the room. Friendly staff. I arrived early and was able to store my luggage at the hotel because my room was not ready yet. Location is a bit inconvenient if you do not have a car. We had a car so we didn't want to stay at a place that charges for parking. This location was ideal for us. It was close to the freeway and easy for us to leave town from that location. "Parking a nightmare on week-ends, due to halls"
Staff are all GREAT! Problem with this hotel is it is attached to 3 large halls. If your staying there on a week-end, don't leave with your car after 6:00, because you wont get a parking place when you get back due to all the guests for the halls. They DO NOT have reserved parking for the hotel guests, so all the spots are taken from people going to […] weddings and other fuctions at the halls. Had to wail over 45 min untel someone left to get a spot, and that was at 10:00. One lady parked way down the street and walked back. Other places will tow you car if left. Staff let the management know (they had to know anyway), how upset everyone was, but the next night was the same. Dont think they care, or dont want to hire someone to only allow hotel guest in some parking areas. Overall hotel is nice, but would not stay here again if on a weekend. Week days may be better. I was there for two nights and it worked out well for me. I would be out the whole day and come take rest during the night. This hotel is in the process of improving everything, due to their joining the Carlson Hotels group, so it seems as if you dropped in unannounced. Our room's heating unit was broken, which they tried to correct by putting in a space heater. While it did heat the room extremely well, it was rather loud.
