I had a very good experience at the hotel. The only thing I didn't like was being charged for parking. I could see if we were Downtown. But that was not the case. "Super quality, friendly staff"
Even though there was no airport shuttle, this hotel was at the top of the ratings. Firm and soft pillows well marked, clean and extremely quiet, basket in the bathroom for dirty towels so we didn't have to toss them on the floor, even a scale. Do not think I will go back. Needs updating - old TV, bathroom tap and toilet did not work very well; elevator did not stop at our floor; breakfast bar was supposed to be open at 6:30 but the person was getting ready when I got there at 6:50 and insisted she was not open until 7:00 and would not accomodate me. Also, a peanut was on our floor when we […] got there and was still there two days later; finally gone on the third day; lots of dust above bedside lights. Beds and pillows were comfortable. "convenient but in need of attention"
The hotel iteself is super convenient just off the highway and the proximity of it to the mall, Yorkdale was really nice but the hotel itself is in major need of renovations. It is dark, drab and outdated. The elevators didnt work and we were forced to use the dirty service elevators which were used to transport food waste and other maintenance things. […] Upon arrival we were put into one room that was dark and stuffy and had no outside windows but rather looked onto an atrium in the middle of the hotel. The rooms facing the outside of the building are brighter and have balconies which allows you to open the door and get fresh air in. The rooms themselves though are old and seem worn and dirty. I was a little apprehensive to stay at this hotel as some of the previous reviews were not great. But as the location was perfect for the course we were taking I decided it was worth a chance.
