"great hotel"
This hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff were all very nice and they give you a warm cookie at check in. We had a view of the coutyard which is full of luscious green plants (a nice change from the desert where I live!). We loved walking around the marina area which surrounds the hotel. The only complaint would be that they were doing construction […] on one of the buildings so some areas were fenced off but the noise was never an issue. "Fabulous"
This was definitely a treat and perfect location especially the park next door overlooking San Francisco just awesome views. Only wish the weather was warmer since we live in Florida. "Very nice - but loud"
The staff at this hotel was superb. Everyone greeted with a smile, and their manners were excellent. The only negative thing was that the noise from the halls gets into the rooms easily. Interesting ...... Marina view and if go towards and look you can see SF about 15 miles away... I am a developer builder and I can tell you 100% that my building 3 has a foundation problem... "Not handicapped!"
Reserved a king bed room with balcony. Were put into a small, handicapped room with a narrow bed, only a hand-shower, no balcony. A TOTAL disappointment. Great location, close to the freeway and to 4th street (a cute little shopping district). We had a room on the ground floor facing the marina. "Building #3"
My wife and I arrived at the hotel and were thrilled with the location and our room. We were located in building 3 with a marina view. Everything looked perfect for our 5 day stay....but it didn't take long for us to start feeling dizzy and a little off. Upon further investigation it became clear that our room was not level, in fact it tilted enough […] that it made it difficult to enjoy. We stayed one night and woke up realizing that we needed a diferent room that was level. We leared that this building was dammaged in an earthquake and that the entire building was not level. We received a king bed suite and from that moment enjoyed our stay very much. The Hotel is very nice and located next to an area for running or walking next to the beach. The customer service was oustanding as they met our needs. It took a few days for the dizziness to go away, but it did and we had a fantastic stay. My only beef with the hotel is I thought they should have disclosed the dammaged room before sending us there. I would recommend this hotel, but never building 3. "Nice hotel on Berkeley Marina, CA"
I have made multiple trips to Berkeley, CA from the Seattle, WA area and I always stay at the Doubletree at Berkeley Marina. The staff are professional and courteous. They hotel is always clean and well maintained. A free, hourly, drop off and pick up shuttle is provided in the local area. This time we had a view over the Marina to the Golden Gate Bridge. "Berkeley Marina DoubleTree"
The room I prepaid for 3 1/2 months in advance was not available on check-in. Room given was clean and nice but bathroom was so small it was hard to turn around. "Construction Noise Ruined Vacation"
Nice hotel, but a renovation by the City of Berkeley of the sewer lines meant jack hammers and lots of noise beginning at 7am. Not very restful. "Nice and a little remote"
The hotel is very nice, but it's not in the middle of nothing, you need a car to go any where. But most will have a car so... Nice hotel but rooms was a little small, nice bathrooms. Breakfast is expensive, around 15-16 dollars per person. WiFi was free, just ask for the reseption code that is free and it worked in our room to so we got free WiFi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
