"Moderately satisfactory"
This hotel is okay...for just a night. The walls were too thin, and we had to call down to see if the front desk could ask our neighbors to turn down their TV. It worked. The beds are so-so. Definitely not new-ish. We were on a non-smoking floor (I assume the entire place is non-smoking), but the hallways smelled like cigarettes. Not pleasant at all. […] The radio was too loud on the speakers throughout the hotel--why do hotels play the radio?! The commercials are incredibly obnoxious. Makes the experience feel very, very cheap. "Good value"
This Holiday Inn Express is conveniently situated between Newport, RI and Cape Cod and is a good stopping point if you are going between those locations. It's set back pretty far from the highway and in a relatively un-exciting location, so it really is a place to go all the way back to at night. You really don't leave it after you return to it - no […] shopping, nightlife, or good dining options in the immediate area. The room was very clean, comfortable, and the hotel seemed well maintained with nice staff. There was a warm breakfast (eggs and bacon!) and wi-fi access.
