Hotel Copamarina has a good location for relaxation and water activities. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant's menu was delicious and portions were satisfying. The service was excellent every time. There are not that many restaurants close by. We took a boat ride to Gilligans Island, about 10 minutes away from the hotel, and it was […] a very enjoyable way to spend the day on the water. The next day we rented one of their kayaks for two hours. You can go through keys where the water is crystal clear. The hotel also has an infinity pool, two jacuzzi, and another pool. I really liked the Copamarina. It is not "fancy", but it is serene with beautiful grounds and the ocean view and setting is awesome. The people working there are extremely service oriented and friendly (except the server who came out by the pool - no smile on that one). I do wish the bedding was more plush in the rooms and that they would upgrade the tacky striped bedspreads. We had a 2-day meeting at the Intercontinental in San Juan and I was glad we made the drive over to the Copamarina for the last 3 days. The drive was interesting and I was happy to be away from the crowds in San Juan. They seem to take a lot of pride in the upkeep of this hotel, so I expect it will stay lovely for some time to come. Friendly staff. Great dinner and music (guitar playing) on the outdoor patio. We stayed in Room 115 - opened the door, walked across the lawn and was on the lovely beach. Went to Gilligan's Island on Saturday. It was very crowded with locals from the public beach next door, but with a great, festive atmosphere. We swam up the path through the mangroves […] to the secluded spot on the the other side of the Island. Just magical. Floated back along with the current. We also rented a boat one day down in La Parigura. $20/hour ay Johnny's Boats. Rented some snorkle equipment and went out to explore the mangrove Islands and watch the parasailing. Pack a lunch and some drinks and you will be set for a picture perfect day! Overall, a great stay and we look forward to returning. Read more

We arrived late in the night, checked into the room and went to sleep. When we got up, we explored the grounds of the hotel- they are fantastic! The maintenance staff is constantly tending to the grounds, and there is much leaf raking and watering going on. We also thought the food in the restaurants was delicious. We recommend the New Yorker bagel […] and the creme brule. There's not much of anything to walk to outside the hotel, but, several places are within very short driving distance, including: several beaches, hiking trails, convento de Fatima, and a few restaurants and fritura stands. Very good hotel for puerto rican standards. My grandmother lives on the south side of PR and its always difficult to find a nice hotel near her. After 5 years of staying at substandard hotels and renting dumps, this was a true pleasure. The hotel rooms were very large in comparison to most hotels the bathroom was updated and the facilities were terrific. […] The staff was very nice, Ray-Rod (Looks like A Rod from Yankees) was very helpful, Leslie the concierge and the boat driver were all great. The boat trip to gilligans island was fun. The boat driver took us out on our own special trip and went diving for sea stars. It was amazing. There was laundry facilities, game room and nice beach, The property had beautiful specimen trees and flowers, three nice pools and tennis courts. The restaurant was very good for this area. I was actually able to get an arugula salad with fresh veggies as a side for my filet mignon. (Not so typical for Puerto Rican fare) Food was very good. We also went to Joyuda, and Parguera for dinner for some good typical puerto rican food. Stop by the side road stands and try some fresh island fruit. Some pretty different things like Quinepas, or go for something more standard, mangos. All fresh and delicious. Phospheresent bay is pretty cool to see too if you go on a night with minimal moonlight. The dry forest is a thing to check out. We also went on an eco tour of the "jungle: in Utado, 2 hour drive, but really cool, ziplining and rappelling, caving and education of land and eco system. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, It was well worth the money. Be aware of the buffet in the am. It was plentiful and the food was good but it was 20 bucks per person. Im not much of a breakfast eater so it really wasn't worth it for me, but they understood and charged me for my coffee and cereal. Very understanding and I liked the way they took care of the situation. The service was a bit slow but not horrible in the restaurant but not unusual for PR. ENJOY Read more

Copamarina är ett trevligt semesterhotell precis vid stranden och granne med ett naturreservat. Det kändes ganska turistiskt; både amerikaner och Puerto Ricaner verkar semestra där. Vi tillbringade flera dagar på den underbara stranden, vi snorklade, simmade och solade. Maten var överlag bra, men man ska vara medveten om att man är helt beroende av […] hotellet för samtliga mål eftersom den närmaste staden, Ponce, ligger 40 minuter bort med bil (och det var svårt att hitta en restaurang där).
