"Comfortable, spacious rooms"
Great rooms/suites. Comfortable, bed was very comfortable. Everything was new and kitchenette was stocked nicely. Only complaint was the bathroom towels were VERY rough, but I'm "looking" to find something "bad" about the stay. Fantastic time, would defintely go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
While our unit was clean, spacious, and bright we found the staff to be unfriendly and not especially welcoming. It was also curious that we had to take care of our own trash and linen upon departure. We never experienced this in any other vacation facility.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too big, too inefficient"
The accommodations were just about what you'd expect -- clean, reasonably comfortable, completely characterless. Checking in was a real drag though. First, it took 10 minutes to escape the traffic jam in front of the office and find a place to park. Then, another 15 minutes on line to reach the counter. Then, at 3:30 pm, were told that the room wasn't […] ready and we'd have to wait half an hour. 45 minutes later, the room still wasn't ready. "Very Good for the price"
We greatly Enjoyed our stay, the room was huge and very nice. The property was great, exercise room, indoor/outdoor pool, drinks in the morning, but there were a lot of little things that kept bugging us. They gave you soap, dishsoap, and dishwasher cleaner in the room, but you had to go to the front desk and request shampoo, they wouldn't put it in […] the room. The TVs had terrible sound issues, to the point to where we couldn't use them. We had two TVs in the room, and both had the same issue. One of them also had poor video quality.Finally, they closed down things early, like the pool, arcade room, etc.. I don't think they actually follow their times at all, and jsut close them when they think people arn't coming up anyway... Well, they guessed wrong on us once. But overall, I'd go there again. We had a great time, very nice place to stay. Unfortunately we didn't get a room with a view, the ice cube maker was broken, and the patio door stuck. But the suite was spacious, comfortable and clean, if a little noisy-you can hear the guests above moving around. Nice pool, lobby and services-lots of tourist info, dvds, helpful staff. "B unit at Vacation Village in the Berkshires"
All in all, we enjoyed our stay at this vacation village resort in the Berkshires. The kitchen in the "B" unit has limited counter space to prepare meals. Cabinet space for condiments, cereal, fresh vegetables etc. was also limited. A colander would have been useful. Maybe we'll try an "A" unit next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Place Was Awesome"
I read some negative comments about this place but took the chance anyway and I'm glad I did. I requested a unit on the 2nd floor and that's what we go. We were pleased with our room. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful and provided us with info on where to go for dinner, etc. Overall, we were […] very satisfied with our visit here. "Berkshire Vacation Village"
This place is rated a 3 star resort. I would give it a 2 star rating at best. Rooms are very dated and in need of a face lift. Wallpaper pealing, Cracked floor tiles, loose toilet seat and shower doors that were falling off.The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from adjoining rooms and hallways. The indoor pool and hot tub were very dated […] and could use a good cleaning.The "resort" is not near any real sights as you need to drive a distance to eat or see any attractions.
