Located 15 kilometres south-west of the city centre, Barcelona Airport is a modern international gateway, boasting good shops and places to eat and drink. Its train station is a short walk from the terminal and provides a fast service every 30 minutes to stations in central Barcelona (all linked to the Metro network) and outlying areas beyond. An Aerobús service also runs every 15 minutes to Plaça de Catalunya.

Hotel apparently recently changed hands - signage is missing and taxi driver did not know the location/name (we arrived too late to catch the free hotel shuttle although this was convenient for our morning return to the airport. Staff nice on arrival but failed to provide wake-up call as requested. Room clean and comfortable but lukewarm (at best) water, […] and a room conditioner that only blew hot air (even when set to 15C) made it less than a pleasant stay. The final straw was a $1 euro per person/night charge that we were notified of at checkout. Clerk said it was a Catalan gov tax. If this is a charge for every room, then it should be included in the hotels.com price. Will stay elsewhere next time Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Medicore"
Staff was not friendly. The staff called our room at 22:30 (!) requesting payment for the meal that we billed to the room, were rude and condesending. That was our first night and we weren't scheduled to check out for 3 more nights! We had pre-paid 100% for the room and didn't appreciate a "wake-up call" in the middle of the night to be hasseled over […] a 40 Euro meal which was properly charged to our room. Certainly not up to the "Renassiance" hotel standard of service. Mini-bar fridge was out of order. Hotel is remote, not convenient to the city so best for business travelers who don't mind rude calls in the night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Waste of Money"
We had one night in Barcelona and an early flight out the next morning to Istanbul. We would have preferred to stay in the City Center, but figured we would save money in taxi fares to the airport by staying at an airport hotel as they would have an airport shuttle, and a shuttle to/from the city/center - which Expedia had advertised. We were mislead. Yes, […] they had an airport shuttle, but it didn't start running until 5am. And yes they had had shuttles to/from the City Center, but they only ran 3 times a day. When I tried to negotiate with the concierge about an earlier shuttle he was very rude and told me I would either need to take a taxi, or take the first shuttle at 5 and risk missing my flight. Obviously we needed to make our flight, so had to take a cab, The airport is literally down the road and it cost us 23 Euros because of govt taxes and fees. On top of that, we wanted to go into the city center for dinner, but the shuttle was not running at the time we wanted to go. We asked to be taken to the airport to catch the metro into the city, and were told that it was not a good idea. We never really got to the bottom of WHY it was not a good idea, but were not given a shuttle anyway. We really wanted to go into the city for dinner as it was our last night in Spain, so our only option at this point was to spend 23 euro each way in cab fare. To sum up, a hotel that we had booked to SAVE us money, ended up costing us an extra 68 Euro (about $90!) extra. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Barcelona airport hotel"
Pretty shabby hotel. Not too clean and tired carpets/decoration and furniture. Front of house service was good and efficient except promised courtesy bus to the city was full and it was expected that we waited for it to make a second trip thereby wasting 1.5 hrs out of the day Restaurant was poor. Food barely average and service abysmal especially at […] breakfast when guests were wandering around trying to find even the basics ie dishes, coffee, milk etc Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Renaissance Barcelona, brega e péssima comid"
O restaurante é feio (anos 70), a comida péssima e o atendimento deplorável, parece q estão fazendo um grande favor a vc. O transfer para o aeroporto só funciona se tiver pouca gente.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lufthavnshotel i Barcelona"
Desuden ligger hotellet i et industri-område. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
