"Very Good for those who are not too demanding"
I really enjoyed the hotel's relative proximity to the train station and the city centre. It is very convenient for those who have to walk a lot, because one can enjoy a nice stroll on the Lungarno which can be both efficient AND romantic. The rooms are relatively comfortable: I would have appreciated a couple of extra pillows, and a few extra degrees […] in the bathroom (which was quite cold in the morning). Tidiness and cleanliness are by all means the strongest point of the hotel. Bathroom, towels, linen were impeccably clean. As for the food, quality could have been better: the selection is very simple (yogurt, corn flakes, muesli, plain bread), and lacks freshly-baked goods and selection. The whole establishment needs some renovation, but if you're not too picky and care about location, quietness, and cleanliness, "Residence Il Maggio" is an excellent option. "за небольшие деньги недалеко от центра"
Это не отель, а Bed & Breakfast. Находится на втором этаже обычного дома, в бывшей квартире (типа наших коммуналок). Дом без лифта, швейцара, конечно, нет, так что надрываться с багажом будете сами. Если приезжаете поздно вечером или рано утром - вас никто не встретит, ключ будет вас ждать рядом с уличным звонком. Из 6 номеров только 2 с окном. Остальные […] - почти как чулан из "Буратино". поэтому очень душно. Чуланы эти - чистые и с хорошей мебелью. Полотенца меняют. Завтрак - маленький буфет, без горячего. К тостеру надо приноровиться - он пережаривает хлеб. Капучино не ахти какой. Нам, двум девушкам, дали кровать кингсайз. Пришлось почти документально доказывать, что мы гетеросексуалы и нам нужны 2 кровати, а не одна. в наш номер потом заселили трех японок - на одну кингсайз ))))). Есть беспроводной интернет. До центра идти 15-20 минут, по набережной с красивыми видами. Напротив этого пристанища - городской оперный театр, если повезет - лицезреете, как мы, президента Италии и его жену со всей свитой. Стоит для своего уровня дороговато. Во всяком случае, в соседних таких же пансионах все то же самое дешевле на 15-20 процентов. Но, в общем, жить можно.
