Would definitely recommend this hotel...We stayed in Italy for 18 days and stayed in 4 different hotels while traveling to different parts...And this hotel by far was the best. Make sure to request the balcony side of the Piazza Rebuplica...fantastic views of the life of Florence. Just beware that you will hear lots of noise all day long and into the […] night. But we didn't care and slept through the singing most nights because your just exhausted from all the walking you did that day. Great large bathroom! Large room with fantastic views. Hotel Pendini was a OK hotel. The rooms were a nice size and were decorated with old styly charm. They are currently under a remodel, which will add a larger, much needed, elevator. Location was excellent...right off lively Piazza della Repubblica...all sights in downtown Florence within easy walking distance. Located right on (or off, depending on which room you get) the Piazza de la Reppublica, this hotel is central to everything you'd want to do in Florence, which is a very walkable city. Right on a big plaza with several nearby restaurants and within walking distance to many of the best sights. Bathrooms are less than desirable, with the shower literally on top of the toilet. But staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great.

We loved Hotel Pendini! The hotel is in a great location in a fun Piazza and the view from our window was amazing! The rooms had high ceilings, were very spacious (our most spacious of all the rooms we stayed in in Italy), and decorated very richly. The hotel staff was very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and there was so much to choose […] from. My ONLY complaint was that our room was directly overlooking the Piazza, and there was live entertainment every night (even weeknights) until 1 a.m. We could hear it very clearly in our room. It wasnt really a big deal because we were out walking the beautiful streets of Florence and the music did stop at 1. Our stay at Hotel Pendini was great overall and would recommend it to anyone!!! It's clear that this was once a very fancy hotel but the current condition is becoming subpar. Lots of chipped paint, wallpaper coming off, etc. Location very good, but difficult to find. By far one of the top locations in Florence, central to everything, in the Piazza della Republica that is the grandest of them all. The hotel is one of the oldest and most elegant, with beautiful guest rooms and beautiful amenities. Almost all of the guest rooms have renovated bathrooms, the last of which are to be completed soon.

The wallpaper in our room as peeling off and it appeared like it had not been refurbished for at least 50 years. For a good basic hotel with an excellent location, we recommend the Pendini Hotel. Right off the Piazza della Republica made it easy to go back to the room to rest during the day and escape the heat. Stayed here with my husband for three nights as part of our honeymoon.The location of this hotel can't be faulted. Right in the centre of Florence, close to all main sights and it's a really nice hotel but it would appear that some rooms are better than others. My wife and I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed Firenze and this hotel. According to us, as central as you can get in the city. The hotelroom, staff etc was terrific! Breakfast was ok - would love some more alternatives and some hot choices as well. But, we suggest you should pick this one!
