Situated in the heart of Florence, Hotel Pendini is within walking distance of Piazza della Repubblica, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and Ponte Vecchio. Also nearby are Statue of David and Battistero di San Giovanni.

"Nice but needs better service"
Great location. Breakfast room layout is bad. "Great Location, rest just okay"
The Hotel Pendini was in a great location and it was easy to walk to everywhere from the hotel. Our room however, was not so great. When we checked in, the room had a very strong bad perfume smell like they were trying to cover up a smell. The sink was also clogged and filled with water when we washed our hands. The smell was giving me a headache, we […] asked if there were any other rooms we could move to and they said no. I don't need a lot in a hotel. I don't need a lot of frills or amenities, just cleanliness and service. This hotels service was awful! I tried to call the desk to ask a question and no one answered. So I went downstairs and the clerk saw me approach the desk, tunrned his head away and returned to looking at his computer. I stood there for about a minute and then asked a maintenance employee the question. As far as cleanliness, there was mold all over the bathroom in addition to the previously mentioned items. The breakfast was very good, but just did not make up for the other issues. The weather in Florence while we were there was very cold and this was most apparent in the room. I understand that the hotel is old and I expect not to have every modern amenity available but I did expect the heating system to be better. One night I barely got an hour of sleep, I woke up repeatedly because I was so cold. I was wearing leggings, socks […] a long sleeved tee-shirt and an undershirt. The following morning I requested an additional blanket due to the cold, they made up my room and included a nice new blanket when they did so. It was also quite loud outside until well into the early morning hours, although this isn't the fault of the hotel, more that you should be aware of it and it should be expected if you stay in the center of town and alongside a popular piazza like this. "Close to all the sights; needs some renovations"
We stayed at Hotel Pendini for just one night when we took a brief overnight trip from Rome to Florence to see the big church there. The hotel is situated on a main square within only a few blocks of the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Medici Chapels, and the Accademia (where the famous Michaelangelo's David resides). It is also walking distance […] to the main train station. The hotel has been around for at least a century, so they are working with an existing old building. Our room was dated and had kind of grundgy wallpaper, though we had a flat screen TV. The bathroom was small, but clean, though it only had a small lightbulb that hardly illuminated anything. I like a firm bed, so the beds were good for me, though my wife would have liked a softer bed. Very good location, not impressed with our room at all. We had to climb two flights of narrow spiral stairs in order to get to our room. Old bathroom, dirty chairs and a couch. Although the location of the hotel was lovely, the hotel and our room especially looked like something out of the The Shining. Stayed here with my husband for three nights as part of our honeymoon.The location of this hotel can't be faulted. Right in the centre of Florence, close to all main sights and it's a really nice hotel but it would appear that some rooms are better than others.
