The riverfront Plaza Hotel Lucchesi is located in the historic center of Florence, Italy, within 750 metres of the Uffizi Gallery and one kilometre from the Duomo. Florence Vespucci Airport is 10 kilometres away.

Housed in a four-story, 19th-century building, Plaza Hotel Lucchesi looks across the River Arno towards the hilltop Piazzale Michelangelo. The building is cream and sage with wrought-iron window grates and window boxes. Inside, the lobby has wooden floors and a large pastoral mural.
Plaza Hotel Lucchesi offers guests a complimentary buffet breakfast each day. This is served in La Serra, the hotel's fine dining restaurant, furnished with floral banquettes, cane chairs and crisp linen. The restaurant serves Tuscan specialities for lunch and dinner. Views across the river stretch to the hills in the distance. The Café is a bar/lounge in the lobby, open for drinks and snacks like sandwiches.

"Great option in Florence"
Great hotel. Great location. Both city view and river view are nice. Room 422 is small but has a patio with a view of Duomo. 300's city views are nice, but 200's would be too low and wouldn't be able to view over the facing buildings. Everything at the Plaza Lucchesi was great EXCEPT the internet! It is so weird that this hotel doesn't fix that. I read many reviews from people complaining about the slowest internet connection and they are right. It was absolutely frustrating to wait 2-3 minutes for every page to load. Seems like such an easy thing to fix (get more bandwidth, I suspect […] they have limited bandwidth). We loved our stay here. The room was beautiful with a soaring ceiling which made the already good sized room feel even more spacious. The hotel staff was spot on; always charming and helpful. "The Plaza Luchesi - value for money"
Right from the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly - we were shown to our rooms and treated very well. The restaurant had a very good selection of foods for all tastes and the comfort in the hotel was superb. Only one bad point - the surly barman who kept us waiting around 20 minutes (far longer than I would have waited had I been travelling […] on my own) - he really let the side down and we stopped using the bar after that and went elsewhere. The hotel is right on the banks of the Arno and commands a beutiful view of the hills and opposite side of the Arno - it was so lovely to wake up open thecurtains and shutters and see the sun shining on such a beautiful place. The hotel suite we were upgraded to had the most wonderful view overlooking the Arno river. We enjoyed every moment of our 2 weeks at the hotel. Je suis allé séjourner à Florence pendant 5 jours (en décembre 2012) avec mes deux meilleurs amis. L'hôtel est très bien situé : il est à 5-10 minutes à pied du coeur historique de Florence, sa situation est idéale pour visiter la ville. Le personnel parle parfaitement le français et est vraiment très agréable et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est excellent […] et très copieux : jus de fruits, fruits frais, viennoiseries, charcuterie, omelette..... Je recommande VIVEMENT cet hôtel. Tout était très bien. Deux petites astuces : 1) pour les amateurs de ballades à vélos, l'hôtel possède 3 vélos qu'il met à disposition gratuitement. 2) pour le trajet aéroport-centre de Florence, le prix du ticket de navette est de 6€ par personne, le trajet de l'aéroport à l'hôtel en taxi vous coûtera 27€ en tout.
